Why do vets reccomend this, it is bad for your pets! The non garden select is amazing, but this is trash! They can't digest it, and I used to feed this to my boys (I stopped after 2 weeks, and now feed good wholesome foods) and they also hated it!
- Vets recommend this because it's great! Very nutritious! Also, that seems like a personal problem.

What should I look for in a rat food. I feed my rats salads with different types of food but they do get rat food some times when I feel like they need food that is going to fit there needs exactly. what type of brand to you think is the best too?

I have four pet rats, about 7 months old. I've noticed recently that their pee is smelling EXTREMELY strong, not at all their usual cage smell. We've been having to change their bedding every day because the smell is burn your nose strong as if we've been letting it sit for days. We haven't changed their bedding type (we use recycled paper bedding). We recently changed their diet, though, as recommended by our usual vet. They are on oxbow rat pellets and weekly fruits & veggies. Help??
