Im worried about my guinea pig, Tazo who I just got on July 1. I dont think he is eating enough vitamin C. I observed cage where he came from and noticed that he was only fed timothy hay, kaytees fortified daily pellets, and lettuce. He is brave enough to be hand fed by me. I tried had feeding him bell pepper but all he does is sniffs it and looks at me as if i am giving him a piece of cardboard to eat. Ive also tried putting it into a bowl and letting him eat it. Could you help me please?
Is there a brand of food that dont contain the pellets, I've noticed that my guinea pig doesn't like eating the pellets in her food...she eats everything but the pellets & we end up throwing the pellets out so we refill her dish...we give her hay as well but I'm worried that she might not be getting enough food...she's not losing weight so far.

Is this okay to use for my guinea pig? I'm used to the carefresh with the heart and the animals on the front in the picture, but the mostly blue green one I'm nervous about. I don't want Cosmo getting any reactions. Are they the same brand but different packaging?
I just read an article about sulcata tortoise care hoping to gain more information about what the best things to feed them are and saw that one of them is grass hay. Would that be the type of hay you normally feed guinea pigs?
