Bad batches giving dogs diarrhea

Something in this recipe has changed in the last few months and it is giving our dogs diarrhea. We were glad to find a food that all of my dogs agreed with. We have been through probably 10-12 bags of this stuff without issue until about a month ago when suddenly, after getting a fresh bag, our dogs began having problems with diarrhea, straining, and going 2-4 times in a short walk around the block. Suspecting they had Giardia we received medications and o treat diarrhea and Giardia and we put them on chicken and rice. Out of an abundance of caution we returned that bag of food. After being off meds for several days we purchased a new bag of the tundra and switched them back off chicken and rice, again only for them to have terrible issues with diarrhea. Again we switch to another food and watched the issues vanish. I do not know what is going on with this food we previously had no issues with but I can only suspect they are changing recipes without advising their customers or labeling the food as such, OR there is something tainted with this food. This would be the second time Orijen has randomly changed their recipe without much warning. Needless to say we’re officially done with the brand

Excellent source of quality freeze-dried unique proteins that nutritionally support my Rhodesian Ridgeback's active canicross and bike joring lifestyle in Alaska. Sierra is allergic to children, beef, and cow dairy. Orijen Tundra as a component of her partially raw diet keeps her healthy!

My baby girl is a 12 year old Chocolate Lab and Orijin Tundra is her favorite food! She still acts like a puppy and is super healthy! Im very fortunate that i will have more years with her thanks to the amazing ingredients in her dog food! She still loves her people food and treats but her base diet has everything she needs to stay young and healthy! Thank you!

Our 1yr old GS had really bad allergies to so many dog foods...he was put on special Vet prescribed food to avoid diarrhea. After seeing a video by a dog breeder who recommended Origin as the best food other then completely fresh....we tried it. We haven't looked back. Our now healthy 2yr GS is doing great.

First of all, why are the reviews all so old?? Secondly, I fed my dogs & my cat (who is now deceased at 18) this dog food for many years. I was really amazing. My cat at 18 went from lying around to so my energy she started acting like a kitten again!! So amazed I put my dogs on it too. Their coats, their health was stepped up so much as well. Then they altered their PERFECT formula & changed ingredients. The price just kept going up & up so I stopped buying it. Too bad cause they had the most awesome thing going & I was recommending it to everyone for years. I wish they’d go back to their original formula exactly, but as usual making $$ is probably just more important.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Can i feed orijen tundra to my 4 month old puppy?? Or is it advisable to feed him the orijen puppy formula?
