Bought this for my cats who are quite picky and tend to just graze on the food in their bowls. With the tundra recipe they actually show excitement again with meal time and they eat every last bite, so I'm not having to worry about their food sitting out all day when I'm at work. I only wish with they offered a larger bag size.

I bought this for my cat and she loves it. I try to buy a different bag each time for a variety of flavors for her. She has taken to all the bags that Orijen makes. A high quality high protein raw animal dry cat food!!

My cat is a stupidly picky eater and this is his favorite food by far! It has 40% crude protein which is very rare to find at a commercial pet supply store, but we will drive to get it for him if we must. He’s happy, healthy, active, and his coat is gorgeous. He will eat some other Orijen foods but Tundra is his fav!

Change of old recipe the Tundra to the new recipe.

I'm very disappointed that the old Tundra recipe which I have been originally buying it from Canada for years since I live in the Pacific Northwest. It's always had Boer Goat, Wild Boar,Vension,Vension, Artic Char, Free range Duck & Mutton.Now the new recipe has less ingredients than the older recipe with more fish. My Norwegian Forest cat has been eating less of the the new recipe. I didn't know about the new recipe when I had bought it from the local pet store. Also,the pet store wasn't notified about the change. I gave them one of my old bags to show them the difference. What if my cat had bad allergic reaction to the new recipe? She did have bladder problems. I have been a loyal customer to Orijen for many years thrughout the lifetime of my dogs & cats.I wouldn't recommend this new recipe of Tundra from the Auburn, Kentucky plant.

Changed Ingredients Drastically w/o Warning

All three of my cats have been eating Orijen for years. We specifically chose Tundra for its variety of “wild” game meats. None of them have ever had any issues. We purchased a new bag of Tundra a month or so ago and after a few weeks it became clear that none of our cats wanted to eat it anymore and their poops were terrible. One of our cats who is slightly more sensitive also developed some skin problems almost immediately. We checked the new bag and realized that the ingredients were completely different than bags we had purchased previously. The “wild” game meats have been replaced with fish. What is the point of that when they already make a formula called Six Fish? From what I’ve looked into I haven’t seen them announce anywhere that the formula has changed and on top of that, they’ve kept the price exactly the same as it is was for the old formula. It’s unfortunate that a company I’ve spent so much money on and have recommended to so many people has decided this is the best way to handle this. Using cheaper ingredient but making the customer pay the same price is disheartening, but it’s even worse knowing it’s actually made my cats ill.

I really want to try this brand, but why is there such low Taurine in each of the varieties? I thought Taurine was very important for cats.

    Hi SamSummer! Taurine is found naturally in the ingredients we use, specifically muscle meat, organs, and significant quantities in seafood. Our ORIJEN cat formulas meet the taurine requirements as established by the AAFCO nutrient profiles for cats.

Why are the ingredients listed on the Orijen website different than the Tundra formula listed here and everywhere else? I'm looking for the formula where deboned goat, and boar are the first ingredients, instead of the duck as the first ingredient.

    Along with our packaging refresh, we have updated our ORIJEN Tundra Cat recipe to ensure the best possible taste for cats. This enhanced formulation will remove wild boar and adjust the ingredients to feature duck, fish and venison in the first five ingredients, as well as including lamb and goat. These five ingredients offer a better taste profile that cats are sure to love!
