Bought this on the way from the shelter not knowing what my new friend liked to eat. He LIVES FOR IT, I can give it to him as treats. He had a flea infestation that left his coat damaged and it cleared up in no time. He maintains his weight and health on this food and I’m so grateful.

Small puppies have a lot of needs! Here's something to think about: Smaller kibble is easier for them to gnaw on. Tiny teeth. Protein Powerhouse: For optimum growth, choose foods that have actual meat (salmon, chicken, etc.) as the primary element. Dog-Specific Recipe: Compared to puppies, their growing bodies require different nutrients. Pick a recipe for a "small breed puppy".       Absolutely not. This is a boutique brand of food, and will only cause harm to your animal than good. Especially grain free. Please look up DCM in dogs before purchasing. There is no actual nutrition to this brand, or any of the other boutique brands. I would stay away from Orijen. Do not fall for the labels if “human grade” or “organic” when it comes to dog food. You can slap that on anything.

    How long is this bag fresh once opening? And is this food okay for puppies to eat?

      I don’t see why not you can’t give it to puppies. I just know that puppy food supposedly has stuff to help him grow up. Ive had the food as long as 2-3 months and it’s been fine. I keep the bag closed or in the plastic bin.
