Because your cat or kitten is unique and ORIJEN pet foods are packed with animal protein, feeding requirements will vary with environment, age and activity. That's why we suggest using the feeding guide as a starting point, and monitoring your cat or kitten's weight and adjusting amounts as needed. We also recommend feeding your cat twice daily and always keeping fresh, clean water available. When switching diets, it's important to transition your cat or kitten as it takes time for their digestive system to adapt to the richer nutrient levels in ORIJEN. Over a 10-14 day period, gradually mix in ORIJEN, increasing the amount each day so that by day 14 you are feeding 100% ORIJEN. See your veterinarian regularly. To help maintain freshness, we recommend sealing the bag tightly and storing it in a cool, dry location.

My cat has sensitive digestion. Would this food be a problem for my cat? he is currently on Open Farm, but I'm not sure if Orijen would help his stomach..
- Hi franlopezx, This diet may be appropriate for your cat but since each pet is unique, so is the way they will react to a new food! Please reach out to our Customer Care Team for a full recommendation, they can be reached at customercare@championpetfoods.com

I would like to know if this food will ever be made to meet AAFCO requirements? I really need to find some quality food for my cats and was hoping this was AAFCO approved. My cat loves your treats, but would love to give her the food too.
- According to the label shown on this page, the food does meet AAFCO requirements.

Is this cat food good for my diabetic cat
- yes!! high protein and no grains. low carbohydrate content (the "sugars" that are bad for diabetics) Just be wary that your kitty may actually need LESS insulin since you won't be feeding as many carbohydrates. I transitioned to a raw protein diet for wet food with Orijen dry and was actually able to take my cat COMPLETELY OFF insulin.
