Perfect for a high energy working dog breed

Stacie S.

After a little extra research and a few bouts of upset tummies on other foods.. we switched to Orijen for our Malinois pup. Switching properly he’s body returned to normal and we’ve never had any other problems! He’s trains at least three times a day and his kibble is used for it! He gets so excited to work for his food! I love that I can use his actual food Instead of constantly using stinky treats to train. It helps keep his weight at around d 75lbs and energy up! He’s getting ready to switch to big boy food and I’m excited to continue his Orijen journey.

For my large pup, it was difficult to switch from the small breeder kibbles to the large size kibbles of this brand. She refused to eat them. For all large size puppy food it would be nice to have small introductory size bags so that they could be tried out

No, I do not recommend this product.

I started my 10 month old Dane Shepard on large breed puppy and he is gaining weight, looks amazing and couldn’t feel better. He was on another brand, but just couldn’t keep weight on. I have put a slow feeder in his bowl because he inhales it!!!! I love this food.

Rhodesian Ridgeback Puppy in Alaska

Excellent puppy food and an important component in feeding a RER diet while training my Rhodesian Ridgeback in Alaska. Sierra was fed this kibble from 6-18 months as a base for a customized nutrition plan. She transitioned to Orijen Tundra and Six Fish with ease!

Switched from Blue Buffalo puppy meal over to Orijen about a month ago. Both my wife and I can notice a difference in our GSD puppy's appearance. His coat feels softer and is shiny. Has plenty of energy to play all day. Glad I made the switch, thanks to my co-worker who mentioned it to us. Going to stick with Orijen from now on. I know the good food demands the price, but I do wish it was more in the range of BB.

I am a very worried dog mom and I suffer a lot if my Renzo does not have the best that I can offer him. So, following his doctor's recommendation since he was 11 weeks old, which is when he came to our family, I give him Orijen and he loves it and so far everything is going very well, surely it will continue like this. I don't mind making an effort to give him the best food and I feel that Orijen is one of them. I recommend it

Questions

My 9 month old Scottish Deerhound female eats her own poop. We have to pick it up immediately or she will eat it. She's been on Stella & Chewy Puppy raw coated kibble.

I have a cocker spaniel dog. Should i buy him large breed?

    1. We begin to classify a dog as being a large breed when they will reach 65lbs or greater at maturity.

Which bag should I get for a boxer puppy (not sure if she is considered a large breed)?

    1. Typically puppies with an expected adult weight over 70lbs will be considered large breeds. This diet would be a great option for growing large breed puppies.

Hello, it is suggested to feed large breed puppies a meal consisting of no more than 26% - 30% protein. Given the avg protein of 38% per serving, would that become an issue for large breed puppies such as a Rotty?

I have an Aussiedoodle (mainly Australia Sheppard characteristics) he’s 6 months old and 45lbs. Should we use large breed or stick with the usual puppy Orijen brand?

      1. My golden doodle is 6 months old and 40 pounds. I feed her the Origen large breed puppy. She will probably get to about 60 pounds. Everything I’ve read suggests the large breed puppy is better because of the lower calcium - apparently it is harmful for the larger breeds to get too much calcium/grow too fast. I thought it sounded safer with no downside that I could find.

When to stop feeding puppy food & switch over to adult food. Male American Bully 1 1/2 years old

      1. If you buy this food, they have a formula for you on the back of the bag. Essentially, you mix in 25% of the new food each week until you hit 100% of the new food.

Are any ingredients sourced outside of Canada or USA, if so where? Can this be served to a large breed adult or just puppies?

      1. No, all food sourcing comes from the country in which it is made. Some are made in the Canada plant, and some their newer US plant (which they use the same rigorous Canadian standards.
