[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My dogs absolutely loved this !! I haven't ever seen them eat as fast as they did. I love the ingredients list, and how it's so much healthier for them!

We slowly moved our 8 week lab puppy from another puppy food that had corn and other stuff in it that we didn’t want, he very happily moved over to this food! He is now turning five months old. The vet and his trainer is amazed how Healthy his body looks and feels when you pet him.

Best healthy weight gaining dog food

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I absolutely love this dog food and will definitely be continuing to buy it and recommend it. We have 3 large breed puppies that have always stayed on the thin side. This dog food was great for helping my pups gain the appropriate weight and keep it on. Just like all puppies, they are extremely hyper and play constantly. The dog food we were using before wouldn't stay on them because they were burning it up so fast with all they're play. Once we switched to this brand, I saw a big positive difference in their overall health and weight gain. This dog did have a fish food type smell, but I attributed that to the true ingredients it was made from and not fillers like other dog foods that smell like "dog food". Overall, This dog food far exceeded my expectations of any other dog food I've used and will now be a lifelong buyer of this brand!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First I must let it be known thay I had the opportunity to try Orijen for free from Hometester Club. With being a pet parent for so many years for many different breeds, I am aware that when you switch your pups food it must be a slow process so that way it does not effect your pups digestive system in a negative way. With that being said, my pups didn't have a negative effect with their bowel movements with the process of switching them over. Both of my pups absolutely loved this food. The ingredients are what you want to give your dog when it comes to dry kibble. It has a strong fishy smell, which bothered me however, knowing that I'm giving it to my babies....it beats the smell of stale grains any day. I appreciated the easy open/ close zipper on the bag, and the material the bag is made from seemed to keep the food fresher! The size of the kibble was perfect for my two. In short...my babies loved this food!! It may be expensive, but you get what you pay for and they are worth it!!!

Amazing flavor my dog was begging for it

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excellent aroma and my dog’s coat was so SILKY after eating it. My dog is a black lab and so she loves food, but I can honestly say there was a marked increase in her eagerness and her enthusiasm for the next meal more than I saw it with her previous formulation.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] At just over a year old, Daisy is a big girl and a big eater. Switching food brands went well and she seemed to really enjoy the flavor. She’s not super picky and had no complaints.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have an 8 month old Great Pyrenees puppy who is a very picky eater, and it's been hard to find a brand of food that she likes. However, she really took to Orijen Amazing Grains High Protien Dry Dog Food!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When this bag arrived and I opened it my dog instantly ran over and was sniffing around like crazy. I took a handful out and he was ready to do a ton of tricks for a couple pieces and was dying for more but I wanted to slowly incorporate it. We started adding it to his regular food and he was thrilled. So much so it seemed as if he was trying to eat around his normal kibble. He was super pleased when it was finally all the ORIJEN. After a while we noticed less dandruff. Typically when you give him some good scratches you can see some dry skin. This stuff really improved his skin and my husband commented that his fur seemed softer and shinier. I was worried that the switch would upset his stomach but we didn’t have any issues! Even though his bowl is full of ORIJEN, he’ll still do some tricks for a couple pieces of kibble!

Questions

My 9 month old Scottish Deerhound female eats her own poop. We have to pick it up immediately or she will eat it. She's been on Stella & Chewy Puppy raw coated kibble.

I have a cocker spaniel dog. Should i buy him large breed?

    1. We begin to classify a dog as being a large breed when they will reach 65lbs or greater at maturity.

Which bag should I get for a boxer puppy (not sure if she is considered a large breed)?

    1. Typically puppies with an expected adult weight over 70lbs will be considered large breeds. This diet would be a great option for growing large breed puppies.

Hello, it is suggested to feed large breed puppies a meal consisting of no more than 26% - 30% protein. Given the avg protein of 38% per serving, would that become an issue for large breed puppies such as a Rotty?

I have an Aussiedoodle (mainly Australia Sheppard characteristics) he’s 6 months old and 45lbs. Should we use large breed or stick with the usual puppy Orijen brand?

      1. My golden doodle is 6 months old and 40 pounds. I feed her the Origen large breed puppy. She will probably get to about 60 pounds. Everything I’ve read suggests the large breed puppy is better because of the lower calcium - apparently it is harmful for the larger breeds to get too much calcium/grow too fast. I thought it sounded safer with no downside that I could find.

When to stop feeding puppy food & switch over to adult food. Male American Bully 1 1/2 years old

      1. If you buy this food, they have a formula for you on the back of the bag. Essentially, you mix in 25% of the new food each week until you hit 100% of the new food.

Are any ingredients sourced outside of Canada or USA, if so where? Can this be served to a large breed adult or just puppies?

      1. No, all food sourcing comes from the country in which it is made. Some are made in the Canada plant, and some their newer US plant (which they use the same rigorous Canadian standards.
