Hello, it is suggested to feed large breed puppies a meal consisting of no more than 26% - 30% protein. Given the avg protein of 38% per serving, would that become an issue for large breed puppies such as a Rotty?
I have an Aussiedoodle (mainly Australia Sheppard characteristics) he’s 6 months old and 45lbs. Should we use large breed or stick with the usual puppy Orijen brand?
- My golden doodle is 6 months old and 40 pounds. I feed her the Origen large breed puppy. She will probably get to about 60 pounds. Everything I’ve read suggests the large breed puppy is better because of the lower calcium - apparently it is harmful for the larger breeds to get too much calcium/grow too fast. I thought it sounded safer with no downside that I could find.
