Our 15 month old male Maine Coon had had belly issues since we got him. We were feeding him Royal Canin dry and wet exclusively because that's what the breeder had recommended. A few months ago we got our new female who is now 6 months. She was being fed Orijen dry and Acana wet by her breeder. We looked into them and liked what we saw and decided idea to make the switch. Our male hasn't had any belly issues since and they both love the food!

The last bag that I bought had the ingredients shown on the Orijen site, which included salmon. My cats ran to their bowls at feeding time with this. I just bought a new bag of Orijen Original Cat that shows it is made with hake, instead of salmon. My cats won't touch their food until hours later when they are starving, and then only eat about half of their 1/3 cup portion. With this, I've noticed too that at least one of of them is having tummy issues resulting in piles of vomit and diarrhea for me to clean up. Is hake part of the current recipe or old? If current, I will be switching back to Farmina.

Had high hopes but quickly disappointed. Purchased for my cat because he had had their wet food before and loved it. Have always fed him high quality food but he gained some weight after being on the Hills Science diet. Thought we’d give the Orijen dry food a try. He has been vomiting after every meal since the transition started. I thought maybe it would subside but it didn’t. Stopped giving it to him and the vomiting stopped. Supposedly quality brand but not seeing that from my end. Extremely disappointed, especially considering the price tag. Never again. If you have a sensitive cat, look elsewhere.

No, I do not recommend this product.

My cat Draco is 2 1/2 years old I switched his cat food when he turned 1. He loves to eat Orijen and will not eat anything else. He is not a fan of human food so for his birthday I get him a special can of wet Orijen food and he loves it. He is the biggest Orijen fan in the world, and seems so much happier with it in his life.

I have been buying the Original one 12#, every week. This last one has these etty bitty morsals in it..looks like it's been totally smashed up. Some of them still eat a very little, but they are choking on it. The ones that get a little more down, are throwing up this yellow brown slime all over everything. WHAT HAPPENED?????

I had previously been using this food for about a year with no issues. I opened at new bag of this food at the end of April. My cat had bloody diarrhea for two weeks. Couldn't control her bowels after eating this food. Stopped the food and switched to a different food and the diarrhea stopped. Something is very wrong with the recent batches of this food.

I've fed this to my two cats for around 1 year. The last bag I purchased in April 2024 made both my cats sick with diarrhea. I stopped feeding them this food and they were no longer sick. There were no other changes, food or otherwise, whick leads me to believe this food was the culprit.

I just purchased a new bag of your kibble and noticed my 4 poor cats are all throwing up and have diarrhea and now refuse to eat the kibble and won't even eat their wet food now cause their poor tummies hurt. They have been on this kibble for 3+ years and with the new change in the company I noticed the quality is terrible! I spent too much on this food for the high quality that is not there anymore and now I have to throw this away. I would like a refund for having to toss this food and switch them to a better food. I noticed this bag was a lighter color kibble that crumbled into tiny pieces easily and had a different smell, my cats noticed the difference too. I am disappointed in this company and frustrated that I will now have to change food because this company had to skimp on the making of this kibble.
