What would the directions be to use this food as a topper? My dogs get the Origen Regional Red Grain Free recipe and we wanted to supplement some of the dry food for this.
- Our dry kibble foods, freeze-fried foods, and wet foods are all complete and balanced diets, formulated to meet AAFCO nutrient profiles. Therefore, these foods can be used interchangeably with confidence that your healthy pet is receiving all the nutrients they need. If you would like to add variety to your dog’s diet, we recommend that kibble makes up the base of the diet and wet food and/or freeze-dried can be used to supplement. I'm trying to find a good nutritional dog food to feed my pet ! I don't want all that garbage food !! My friend gave me some of her food that she feeds her dig , it's call Bill Jac, it says it's made with 5lbs of chicken for a 6lb bag !! But it's all chicken organs only !! I want to get this canned food for my dog as a topper to her dry food. It has shredded chicken along with whole white beans, peas and potatoes. Will she be able to digest this ok because the beans, peas and potatoes are not ground into a pate texture? she's on the dry version of this currently. I also ditched the twelve calorie treats and purchased the smaller 2 calorie treats and I'm only giving her three of those per day. Her total intake of extras is now less than 10% of her diet. :-)
What is the best food to feed a 55-pound highly active hound? I was told to switch to grain free, but her stool has been mucous like and runny. I've tried Redford Naturals Limited Ingredient (I've tried chicken, beef, sweet potato) and American Journey Limited ingredient (lamb).
