Hi I am changing my dogs food due to allergies, he is been taken off chicken and I am trying wainwright’s duck with rice as recommended but his poo is hard and crumbles when I pick it up, will this change in time or do I need to give him something else with it ? Thanks
Puppy been eating 1/2 his meals (normal meal consists of 1/3 cup kibble) over the last 3 days. Has had high activity including a 4 mile run one day, 2 mile walk another and 5 mile walk today. Been supplementing by placing portion of meal in challenge toy. Shows no signs of behavioral changes and remains very active/playful. Sleeping a bit more...but we expect that d/t his ^ activity. Should we be concerned about anything? Switching the puppy food (purina pro plan chick/rice) to dog food?
Just recused this little guy... very malnourished, just started gaining some weight. He is missing many teeth so eating is a problem, he does he the small bites. This question is for david elezbeth: Is 30-50% carbs an appropriate amount in dog food? I just started my dog on honest kitchen dehydrated dog food and these are the typical range in carbs. Is this to much? Also some reviewers have posted that their dog had more voluminous stool and went more frequently with bits of food still present in the stool. Is this normal?
