Questions
Looking for non-color-added flakes that do not darken the tank water. Do these have color added?
- According to the ingredients they do have coloring added. I looked each of them up and they all appear to be natural. None of the fish food I've ever used has caused my water to discolor. The only reason I can imagine that would ever happen is if you were overfeeding extremely heavily. Are you certain something else isn't the cause of the coloring that's occurring in your aquarium water? If you've got a fresh water tank and you put driftwood in it, tannins can leech into your water over time. Tannins can make your water yellow or brown. It's not anything to be concerned with and will fade with time. Driftwood can be good for some fish as it lowers pH and softens hard water which can be beneficial for certain fish types.
