This is not a consumable product but small shavings (no larger than a grain of rice) should pass through. However, a dog should not be able to break off large pieces of any Nylabone non-edible chew. No dog toy is totally indestructible. Frequently inspect your Nylabone before giving it to your dog to make sure it's whole and intact, with no missing pieces. Replace when the knuckles are worn down, or if it becomes too small for your dog to chew safely. Be sure to choose the right size and formulation for your dog's chewing style.

They have this at dollar tree for $1.25. Overall good chew toy so make sure your dog gets one to help teething habbit

Be super weary of this toy! My 12 week old puppy was able to completely destroy this in less than 24 hours and I had to pick up pink chunks off my carpet and take it away. Luckily I watch her intensely to notice immediately. She is tiny and does not have any permanent teeth yet so this is definitely a product problem.

Great puppy testing chew toy. Has to be one of his fav chew toys. He likes “bury” it in the corners of his soft bed sides and really loves to toss it in the air. We have a Boston Terrier and boy does he use it!

I bought this for our new puppy who is still teething. It works well for teething and can withstand that all day chewing of a puppy without crumbling or splintering. Very durable and flexible.

I just picked this up for my teething 15-week-old lab mix, and within 10 minutes of her having it, I noticed two little pink pieces of bone next to her. My puppy is never out of my line of sight, so thankfully I was able to take the bone away before she ate any of the pieces, but other pet parents need to take the warning on the package about supervising their pets seriously! I didn't expect the bone to last forever (my puppy's teeth are absolutely dangerous), but I had hoped that the bone would have at least lasted a few weeks.

Hello, While many pups safely and successfully use our Nylabone Puppy Chew toys, some puppies can be too strong for the softer material, especially if they have any permanent teeth. We recommend our Strong Chew toys for tough chewers or our Puppy Power Chew toys for the most intense chewers. During normal chewing, tiny bristle-like projections are raised which help clean the dog's teeth. These tiny pieces (about the size of a small grain of rice) are designed to pass through if ingested.
