I’ve been feeding my 7-year-old Golden Retriever, Harvey, Nutro dog food since he was a puppy, and I can honestly say it’s been fantastic from day one. He’s always loved the taste — mealtime is his favorite part of the day — and we’ve never had any issues with digestion or tummy troubles, which is a huge relief. One of the best things about Nutro is how consistent it is. Harvey has maintained regular, healthy bowel movements his whole life, which I credit largely to the quality ingredients in Nutro products. As he’s gotten older, it’s been comforting to know I’m feeding him something that supports his overall health and keeps him feeling good. If you’re looking for a reliable, nutritious dog food that your pup will genuinely enjoy, I can’t recommend Nutro enough. Harvey gives it two paws up! 🐾

Been using this dog food for two of my older dogs that had gotten picky about eating. They had been on just a weight diet dry food. Now they get this dry food in the evening and they are both eating much better again. They seem to love it, and their coats are looking really great.

I buy this brand of dog food because it's chicken free and venison is good for the dog my dog licks his bowl clean with this a month ago my other dog got into his dog food and she ate this and she wasn't supposed to eat this because she has severe allergies and I was glad she didn't break out and swell up all over but I like this dog food and so does my dog

My Yorkie has been on this formula for 9 years and loves it. She has an extremely sensitive stomach. It appears you have changed the formula. You took out the oatmeal totally and added coconut, tomato etc. All the things she can not eat and that is why we always purchased your Nutro Venison Brown Rice and Oatmeal dry food as it didn’t have any other ingredients (other then a few needed vitamins). Help!? We really need to find a way to purchase the old food still? She gets diarrhea eating anything else but your Nutro Venison Brown Rice and Oatmeal Dry Dog Food.

Not only did the package change, so did the recipe and the kibbles. My dog has a lot of allergies and I praised this food when it was made of New Zealand venison and didn't include chicken. Now it doesn't specify the source of the venison, and they added chicken meal. My dog loved this food, but when I opened the new bag she turned her nose up to it. I had to add cheese to get her to eat it. I guess I'll have to go back to making her food. So disappointing.

My dog likes the flavor of the Nutro Venison Meal & Brown Rice. I noticed though that it seems to take longer for him to chew than the Nutro Ultra he was eating previously. That might be hard for a dog with poor teeth, but shouldn't be a problem for most dogs.

great novel protein food WITH wholesome grains

our golden retriever had 2 episodes of hot spots that the vet attributed to a likely food allergy. He had been on chicken and lamb based foods (one with less healthy grains like corn and wheat and one without) so after a few months of Rx food.... it was time to try a new commercial food. The goal was to find a NOVEL protein based kibble (like venison, fish, or kangaroo) but WITH healthy wholesome grains (to avoid any possible risk of DCM since the studies are still ongoing). Our pup is doing GREAT!! No hot spots and he never even had soft poo during transition (which was shortened to 2 days bc we ran out of Rx food). So happy! Thank you Nutro.
