What is best to help with dog constipation? I've heard pumpkins helps does it really? If so how much do I give him?
Dog expressing anal glands frequently. Negative for intestinal parasites, have added pumpkin to food
Good afternoon, how long does it usually take for pumpkin to work for a constapated dog?
Hello, My dog has been having diarrhea after a round of antibiotics from a dental extraction and ear surgery. Our pet store recommended canned pumpkin so we decdided to give it a try. We calculated our dogs weight wrong and have given her more than the recommended feeding amount. Would this be harmful for her? She's a miniature schnauzer and we possibly fed her a couple tablespoons over...
How much fiber is a 17 lb. dog supposed to have per day. I wanted to give my dog greens and pumpkin for her anal glands and health but they are causing loose stools. Will she still be getting enough veggies in her food? The brands I use do have veggies listed on the label. (Fromm, Acana and Orijen) will she still be healthy without the added veggies? is this a normal reaction for her to get loose stools from adding that? She takes these supplements: Fish oil, probiotics, joint pill, coconut oil)
Are the following supplements ok to give my cavalier King Charles spaniel? (17 lbs) Pumpkin - for anal gland expression Probiotics- for firmer stools and gut health Joint supplement- for healthy joints Fish oil- for healthy coat and skin Also, I don't think my dog drinks enough water. She might only drink 1 cup a day but I can't be sure. Is this enough? How do I get her to drink more water? (She has kibble as her diet, so she's not getting any from her diet)
My dog seems to have constipation but when she tries to poop, a little bit of liquidy poop comes out and that’s it. I was told to try pumpkin. Does this usually work and if so should she fast for 12 hours? Is it ok if she only eats a couple tablespoons of pumpkin in a day?
My dog has had loose stools for about 2 days now I’m been feeding him just white rice and chicken broth for right now he’s a 15 year old male fawn pug I’ve been giving him Vetoquinol ProPectalin AntiDiarrheal Gel for Dogs Cats (30 cc)
My breeder recommended using Pumpkin in my puppies food when his stomachs is upset. Is that OK, and how much/how often should I be using it?
can i give my yorkie herbal gastrointestional supplement from Honest Kitchen to aid with pancreatitis? or what kind of supplement can I give her to help? (digestion supplements?)
My 4 month old puppy has had loose stools for a week. I started adding rice to his food and that worked for 1 day but now he has a nugget that comes out and then the rest is runny. I feed him diamond naturals grain free lamb, rice and vegetable for large breed dogs and he’s been on this food for almost 2 months , he has already had all his vaccinations and the vet tested his feces and it was all normal. I have been told to give 100% real pumpkin with his food ?
Gave our puppy about 1.5-2 tablespoons of pumpkin with her dinner about 2 days ago. She’s had diarrhea ever since. Semi-formed stool this AM, so it appears to be getting better. Did the pumpkin cause this? Should I do anything besides let it run its course?
