I bought this product to give to two horses who needed MSM support. This is a powder with a strong smell/flavor. Both horses WOULD NOT EAT any grain that had been in contact with this product. They sniffed the grain and then walked away. You CANNOT return this product, so do not purchase this thinking you can return it if your horse does not like the powder. Neither of the horses being given this supplement are picky eaters, they were just put off by the smell.

Cosequin® Optimized with MSM is a staple for my OTTB with slight arthritis in his knee. This supplement was recommended by my vet to assist with a normal response to inflammation. I feed this product daily to help maintain joint health and have seen great results! My horse also loves the apple flavor of this powder.

I bought this to start using as a preventative measure. We have a younger horse and I’m hopeful that this will help support his joints as we start working with him more for next show season.

I just wish it came in a pelleted form; its a super-fine powder and puffs of it get into my lungs every time I open the container and when I pour the scoop of powder into the feed pan. Horse does love the taste; I add it in a mash to flavor the rest of the no-sugar (ie no-taste) mash.

I have a 20 year old paint/tb mare and she has navicular and is starting to slow down a bit. This product saved my pleasure horse years ago and I immediately thought of it when I wanted some extra support for my girl. She has been on it just under a month and has made a fantastic improvement. She bends and stretches easier, turns smoother, and overall just moves better! Couldn’t be happier.

I’m using this on 2 horses for 2 reasons. 21 yo retiree to keep her comfortable. 10 yo lower level dressage horse for support. The 10 yo loves it and the older mare takes her time licking it up but does. I picked Cosequin at my vet’s recommendation.

Preventative for my young horse! I use the dasaquin for my dog and saw such great results I had to switch my horses joint supplement to their brand!! Top of the line!
