Dear friends; my 15 y.o. cat is chronic renal. she takes 125 ml serum w/lactate every 48 hs. No appetite: I must feed her Recovery & AD 120 ml/day via a seringe in the mouth. The only food she will eat spontaneouly is ND tuna or tuna&salmon. I live in Brazil, these cans are imported, very expensive. The vet told not to feed commercial canned tuna for its sodium content. Question: what if I buy natural tuna or salmon at the fishmonger and give her? Thank you VERY much!

I have tried a new food and my cat likes it. It is 'tuna in jelly', from Whiskas. One pouch of 85g, he eats almost all of it (leaves a little bit of it uneaten). I have seen on internet that tuna causes yellow fat disease. Can i feed it to him once a day? Also he is an adult cat. I don't know the exact age(i found him he was a stray and he's been with me ever since.) A picture of pack contents is attached.

My cat is not eating her food. I tried 2 x dry food (she usually eats this) and 6 different canned food. The only thing she will not turn down and eat is tuna (made for humans).
Can canned tuna cause urinary crystals? My female cat is having surgery today. She’s only one and she’s a female so it’s very odd she has this problem. Vet said there was probably something causing it. I have them tuna juice about 1-2 days prior to all this flaring up. Could that be it? I also started both my cats on a joint medicine just for heath so it never becomes a problem. I got it at Walmart though. Maybe is that it? She’s healthy in all other aspects...
