What the best dry dog for food match my dog
My two year old black lab has a very sensitive stomach & terrible skin allergies. He is currently eating Taste of the Wild Pacific Stream. I don’t believe this is working for him because he has terrible gas, frequent itching & licking despite taking an allergy medication, & very loose stool. I’ve been told to switch him to a limited ingredient diet, but I don’t know what brand to use. I am also concerned about peas/lentils can affect a dog’s heart.
I'm looking for a high quality limited ingredient diet with sodium levels between 0.3-0.5% dry matter basis maximum. Can someone recommend a brand to me? thanks!
I am getting an 8 week Cocker Spaniel. I am not new to Cocker Spaniel, just puppy versions. I want to try a new food for her, and need suggestions. I did research & came across these dry foods: Merrick Grain Free Real Salmon+Sweet Potato, Merrick Limited Ingredient Grain Free Real Salmon+Sweet Potato, Taste of Wild Pacific Stream Grain Free Smoked Salmon, Taste of Wild Appalachian Valley Small Bree’s Grain after Roasted Venison. Are any of those good, if so which one? Want to stay chicken free.
I have a German Shepherd and she is one month old. I am really unsure what dry food to get her. What is better: Purina Pro focus, Blue Wilderness, American journey, or taste of the wild? Should I get grain-free and large breed? If any other ones are suggested let me know.
I have a almost 6year old English bulldog and was looking into switching up his food because his stool looks a little harder. do you suggest grain free? He has been on lamb and rice his whole life.
Whats best dog food w/ zero chicken (no by product etc? has IBD (via ultrasound&GI Panel-no scope) We’ve tried almost all IBD vet food (RC HP, RC low fat GI, Hills...) I have researched & doc. his symps. For a year now &95% positive hes having (bloating after eating, licking/biting paws, loud bowel sounds all worse after eating, normal poop, no vomit)from a food allergy. He’s on pred & meds. Im going to do elimating diet but I want to find food w/no chicken to start off w/during this process
What do you think is better for my Cavalier, Fromm grain free or natural balance lid grain free? Why?
I am considering transitioning my puppy from hills science to merrick grain free dry dog food. Is merrick a good brand? What are the benefits of grain free dry dog food? What are the differences in feeding a dog salmon Vs chicken vs lamb vs duck?
My dog has been on a grain free soy free and chicken free food for about 8 months, He is 3 and has been gaining weight. He eats about 1/2 can of food twice a day and maybe a handful of dry food in between. He is never been a very active dog. He is part beagle and part chihuahua. He does have mostly a beagle body Short legs and long body Other than weight, he is healthy. What type of dog food would he need to lose weight
9 1/2 month old dog, loose stool for over 2 weeks. Fecal sample negative. Did 10 days of Metronidozole plus only chicken and rice. No improvement. Course of panacur, then switched for boiled beef and rice. Perfect poop for 3 days. Introduced 1/4 cup kibble and went right back to mush then mushy/liquidy. Could it be the brand of food (the 1/4 cup introduced was beef, grain free Merrick, since hedid well on the boiled beef. Vet is not helping. Any Suggestions?
