It’s time to transition him to something else and I’m looking to change his food. Just recused this little guy... very malnourished, just started gaining some weight. He is missing many teeth so eating is a problem, he does he the small bites. Any other food you can recommend for weight gain, older dog with no teeth? Also a treat, maybe something that will dissolve, can he have gerber puffs baby snacks as treats???
Puppy been eating 1/2 his meals (normal meal consists of 1/3 cup kibble) over the last 3 days. Has had high activity including a 4 mile run one day, 2 mile walk another and 5 mile walk today. Been supplementing by placing portion of meal in challenge toy. Shows no signs of behavioral changes and remains very active/playful. Sleeping a bit more...but we expect that d/t his ^ activity. Should we be concerned about anything? Switching the puppy food (purina pro plan chick/rice) to dog food?
