Petco Pharmacy requires you to snail mail an original Rx to them which is so slow & stupid! All other online pharmacies contact your vet if necessary & this gets Rx filled quickly. I've waited 2 weeks already with no confirmation!

I have been ordering prescriptions for my dog from Petco for three years. This amounts to once or twice per year, except for 2024 which has been at least five orders. The prices are very competitive but actually obtaining the prescription is an aggravating endeavor. Every single time I order I end up having to call customer service for long phonecalls (as in 80 minutes or more) to find out why my orders get cancelled “at my request.” When I’m told they couldn’t reach the vet I point out that Petco already has the prescription on file with refills. It shows in my online profile. Then I have to reorder the product only to have it happen again. For one product I’m on a fourth iteration for a med I’ve been trying to get since March. I finally received it June 12. For a medication on repeat delivery. The staff is always friendly but the process stinks. It feels like to save $35 I need to agree to be jabbed in my eye with a stick. Yet I keep coming back thinking, “Surely it will be okay this time…”, only to find that it isn’t. I’m clearly not very bright to keep signing up for frustration. And yet I’ll try again when I find their price delta is significant compared to other online pet pharmacies.
