I put this on my 3 cats Friday May 23rd 2025, it does says that it should start working in 15 minutes. HA!
Hours after all 3 cats are still scratching, and I can see fleas crawling on them.
Today Saturday, while my male cat is sitting on my lap right next to where I applied the Nextstar there's fleas on him. YUK!
My poor cats, what do I do now, I can't use anything else for at least 30 days.
I did bath them the day before.
I'm really sad for them.

I want to give this more stars because I think the medication actually works but my cat had a skin irritation from it and has a bald spot now so i won't be using the other 2 treatments.
No, I do not recommend this product.

I purchased this recently for my two cats. The day after applying, one of my cats had a large bald patch and blistered skin where it was applied. The other cat had no visible issues. I have tried many topical flea medications with no issue, but it seemed to trigger a reaction with the one cat. I would advise to stay away from this product if your cat has sensitive skin.

I use Nextstar regularly for my 4 cats. It works and it doesn't seem to sting on application like some of the other more expensive flea and tick drops do. During summer months when fleas are more of a problem I'll use Capstar in between my Nextstar applications.

Does this application also help kill ear mites?
- No. You need a separate mite treatment. I use both.

How long after applying treatment do I have to wait to bath my cat?
- Do not bath your cat directly after applying the product. Make sure that your cat is completely dry before applying the product. It is best to wait 12 hours to assure that your cat is completely dry prior to application.
