Questions
How many pellets is a serving size? Why doesn't the manufacturer tell us?!
How many pellets would I need to feed an adult betta on a 2x daily feeding schedule?
My betta loves this...Because of how much is in the jar and I have 1 betta how long can I use this until I have to buy another one for freshness....?
- I researched how long fish food lasts, and everyone says about six months ONCE the package is opened. They talk about storing it in a cool, dry environment away from light, perhaps in an airtight baggy inside a paper bag or something to keep out the light. If unopened up until the expiration date, it's still probably good for 3 more months. Always look for changes in the food and signs of moisture. When my New Life Spectrum food starts getting older, I soak in Seachem Nourish. As long as the food looks OK, you can mix it with good stuff to keep it nutritious. When the jar is about half full or less, I throw it away and get a fresh jar. This is excellent quality food. As good as one can buy.

Could I feed this to my regular betta who is an adult
- Absolutely, the "small" is referring to the size of the pellets, not the size of the fish. It's great quality food and all my fish love it. I have Bettas and Harlequin Rasboras which have similar dietary requirements. Plus, I vary their food every couple of days. One day per week, they eat frozen Bloodworms. One day, freeze dried Daphnia, socked until soft, then fast the next day. Then back to pellets for about 3 or 4 days. Then the cycle repeats.

Could I use this food to feed guppies since they also have tiny mouths? If yes, could I crush the pellets to feed guppy fry?
- I haven't used this brand, but I have both Betta's, guppies n neon tetras in my 75 gal & 20gal and feed them all betta food and a variety of flakes and the guppies love getting their feed on anything they can, they seem to love the mini pellets I give my bettas, but the regular size betta pellets they just munch and munch till theres no more left :) I have also given them the micro pellets from hikari
