My cats love the design of this tower, but it immediately started shredding, both the tower carpet and the bed carpet. Everyday I have to pick up carpet shreds. The plastic carpet backing is shredding into long strings as well. I tried to get customer support but they claim it is "used" and will not replace or refund. Very disappointed with the quality of carpet.

This was very obviously a return. The screws were stripped on the two top pieces making it impossible to put them together. I have a similar one that is quite a few years older and the carpet is much higher quality and mfg quality 10 times better.

The cat tree house is perfect for my small house and the cats love it. I'd say this is a minimum height for a cat tree without being a monstrosity in a small space with lower ceilings. There is an initial smell which eventually dissipates if that is a concern.
