After using them a few times, we noticed that she actually becomes a bit calmer. She doesn’t get scared as easily and overall seems to handle stressful situations more gently than usual. The effect is mild and doesn’t “knock the cat out”. She remains active, just a little more relaxed. The supplement looks like soft treats, and our cat eats them with no problem. Overall, it’s a gentle product that slightly reduces anxiety without making the cat sleepy. It’s a good option if you need a little support for a nervous cat, but don’t expect a very strong effect cause it’s just a supplement, not a medication.

The only product that has worked to temper her down has been NaturVet Quiet Moments Calming Supplement for Cats. We got her the Salmon & Bacon flavor and she loves it! The supplements work within 10 minutes, and the change (calmness) is highly noticeable. Storage is easy as it comes in a resealable carton container with lid. The texture of the supplement is like a human vitamin chew. Soft, chewable without loud crunch, and the scent is not repulsive. It has a pleasant, mild herbal aroma to it. With this being said the only problem I experienced is that my picky, orange cat is not attracted to the supplement. He is anxiety-prone and skiddish, and would highly benefit from the supplement if only I could get him to eat it. The Calming effects of this supplements lasts several hours on GALAXi, making it a viable solution for hyper cats. 60 chews come in the container. I highly recommend and have this in my cat supply repository.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tested these on four different cats, and it made no noticeable difference in their behavior. They weren't any calmer. They didn't get sleepy. These did nothing. Maybe if they were taken daily, they would do something, but as a one-off use, like before a bath or stressful experience, these just didn't do anything.

However she is thankfully a very calm cat so I don’t need these severely. I gave them to my friend who has a crazy cat and wouldn’t let anyone groom him. He luckily ate the treats and actually did feel calmer. It does take some time for them to kick in so it’s not an instant fix (plan an hour ahead) but he was even able to groom the cat with less screaming than normal. The size is of the treats is pretty typical, like a gumball. If your cat is willing to eat it sure but they’re also easy to crumble if needs to be smaller. Overall, I recommend this to anyone with a crazy cat!

It works well for situational anxiety (vet trips, fireworks). However, because it contains Melatonin, it acts more like a "sleep aid" than a simple "mood lifter."

My cat is not a little cat either. The container is small and sturdy. It does not take up much room. My only issue was how thick the supplement was.
