Eats core wellness grain free ocean formula because of unknown allergy (licks her paws all the time). Finished a 26 lbs bag already but zero difference. Also taking vetriscience derma strength for few months now. Prefer supplements (chews) that med (Benadryl). There's lawsuit (July 2017) against wellness food (arsenic & lead), should I switch to other brand?if so, which one please? Thanks.
My female cat has a some type of alergy and is broke out on her back to the point that is seeping is there a natural remedy I can use on her.
My cat sneezes frequently, and also spends a lot of time scratching. I have heard that Omega-3 supplements may help would I be hurting her by giving her supplements?
Hello. Our lily continues to have itchy issues. We've taken her to a vet, switched her food to a salmon sweet potato Costco dry kibble... but shes still so itch under her paws and around her neck. We are in a very tight situation financially as our condo has been flooded and we have to pay for accommodations and food that wasnt expected so I'm extremely stressed out because right now we can not afford.to go to a vet.... is there anything I can do? Probiotics maybe? Allergy meds? Any supplement?
Hello, My cat has food and environmental allergy. We got good cat food for her and she is ok during cold season. From Spring to Fall is worst, she is very itchy, especially her ears and face area. We got steroids injections for her and it worked, but we do not want her to keep on steroids all the time. Any "ANTIHISTAMINES AVAILABLE “OVER-THE-COUNTER” would work for cats. Which one would be the best for my cat to treat outdoor allergies? Please help!
Our 1 1/2 year old female ragdoll feline started loosing patches of fur for last 2 weeks. No scabs/raw spots on skin. Vetinarian concludes not fleas or ringworm. No known environmental changes or new house products. Now starting Royal Canin Hydrolyzed Protein Adult HP for 2-3 weeks in case it's food allergies. It's $50 for 7.7 lbs. Is there a less expensive equivalent Purina or other brand?? Thanks from Florida.
Can I give my mini schnauzer the Walmart brand of allergy relief pill with loratadine 10mg to treat her skin allergies?
My 18 year old cat has been having periodic breathing issues sneezing, and congestion, at this point it seems obvious she has seasonal allergies. However, being 18 years old and I don’t have the money to put her through the extensive allergy investigations and treatments. What are my options? Are there over-the-counter options I can give her?
What is the best food for allergies on a budget? She gets allergy shots, but she still sheds like a fiend. It's not your typical, shedding. She is almost hairless. She does not have mange or fleas.
Hi, I recently took Noushi to the vet & he said she doesn't have flea or allergy but she's still scratching her head. She reacts to Royal & Sanabelle with ostrich meat but she's ok with Sanabelle for sensitive cats. My country is not in good conditions right now & good quality cat food isn't available at the moment. I only have Sanabelle Ostrich left right now that she reacts to. What should I do? What can i give her along with this to stop her ichyness.
I have a small femake cat that seems ti get allergies to where her nose gets soi congested she has a hard tine breathing. Its lasts for a few days then she gets it out and is better. I give her a very small dose of childrens zyrtex and it does help. Im in texas so our weather is all over the place. Fleas are bad too, which are pretty bothersome to her. Is there anything else that you think will help her?
Former stray, female 7-ish year-old cat with bald patches on right flank, lower stomach, and lower leg due to over grooming/ fur mowing. On reduced ingredient/ low allergen dry food and she wears a soft collar/cone to deter licking. We need to know what to do about her sores, we've tried anti-itch spray and an antibiotic ointment but she licked both off (despite the cone). Thank you.
