Bones in the turkey cans also

Case

We found bones in the turkey wet canned food! Our cat has been less interested in eating it and has a lot of allergies so we’ve been using this product for years. The quality seems to have gone down because this has never happened! We went through the recipe change ok but now we found bones! Our cat is elderly and the vet wanted to put her down because of her not wanting to eat and I kept telling them it has to be her food or her teeth. She cracked her tooth on a piece of bone in the wet food right in front of me and then we figured it out. We strained our a can and I can’t believe how many large pieces there are. We trusted this company for so long so I will give it 2 stars for the length of time that it’s been a great product but please get it together. Multiple cans now full of bones. Horrible!

No, I do not recommend this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My cats already loved this brand. I like the ingredients, it doesn't contain a lot of fillers. All of the cats come running when I pop the top, lol.

I have four cats and all of them normally inhale any type of wet food. Bought a few cans of this to try with one who has food sensitivities/IBD. He ate about half his first meal and wouldn't touch it after that. Offered it to the other three cats to use it up, and two of them also won't eat it. That's a 75% failure rate. Something is wrong with this formula.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Good but formula change makes it difficult

My cat started eating this food in February and he did really well on it. I read about the formula change but was unsure which formula he had been eating. On August 22nd I opened a can and it was clearly different. So I realized he had been eating the old formula up until that point. I was hesitant to give him the new formula as he has IBD, but I didn't have any old cans to use to transition so I just gave it to him. He did really well with no IBD symptoms. Then on Sept 6th we received a new shipment and I realized it was the old formula. He had tolerated both so I just fed it to him. Next day he started having diarrhea. I plan to keep him only on the new formula and return the cans of the old formula but it will be a struggle to ensure that we have access to the new formula as the stock of the old formula is still circulating.

DON"T CHANGE THE FORMULA

Limited Ingredient Turkey (WITHOUT Clay or Fish Oil) - Please get rid of the fish oil and clay ingredients. Is it revenue thats an issue that you would change ingredients? Please don't. Increase the price if you need but keep the older recipe. KEEP THE OLDER RECIPE. Many of us have cats that LOVE your long standing limited ingredient turkey wet food.

New recipe is awful

My cat has IBS and this was the only food that agreed with him until you decided to change the recipe. Now he won’t touch it. It did have a nice light color and actually smelled like turkey and now it’s a dark color and smells like typical cat food. It also looks like there is less in the can. Quality went down and price stays the same. Back to the drawing board to find another food. So disappointed.

My one cat has IBS and this was the only food that did not affect him until now- the new recipe is terrible and he won't touch it. It's very difficult to have to find new food that my cat will eat and that will not affect him. So aggravating.

The description on the website says there are peas in the ingredients but no mention of "pea protein". If you look at the photo listing of the ingredients it shows "pea protein". Can you confirm whether or not this product has "pea protein". Thanks!

  1. I buy this and I can see actual whole peas mixed in.
