Changed recipe to add chicken!

Dog was on for years, he's allergic to chicken. He's had upset stomach and runny stool. I started researching and found you guys added an allergy ingredient like Chicken! Horrible to do this and not have a large notice on the front of the package. I'm not buying any of your other food now.

Disappointed by new recipe.

We’ve had the Instinct lamb dog food for years and in the last 1-2 months our dogs have grown quite wary of eating it. One dog has actually started refusing. We thought one bag could be bad but we purchased another and same issue. That’s when we found the recipe had changed and includes ingredients which our dogs have not tolerated previously. Unfortunately will need to switch to a different product and company. Really disappointing since we’ve been purchasing for years.

Changed Recipe - Dog can no longer eat

I’ve been feeding my golden retriever this food for about 5-6 years now and recently noticed the recipe changed. My dog has food allergies and this was the only dry food I could find him that was not grain free and had nothing he was allergic to. Now that the recipe is changed, he can no longer eat it because it has rice. I liked this food because it used oatmeal as the grain instead of cheap filler rice that my dog is allergic to. Very disappointed that I now have to switch brands because you decided to change the recipe to something he can’t eat and is most definitely cheaper to produce.

Misleading

Mc25

With chicken allergies on the rise this blatant lie by omission is grossly misleading. Labeled as no chicken fillers with the second ingredient being chicken meal. We have the old bags still and the labeling is exactly the same. The only warning was a small sticker we hadn't noticed because we trusted this brand. My dogs started having increased itching and we tried to find the reason. We treated our yard for pests, we added supplements, we went to the vet for advice, then we see the sticker. We don't even know how long we've been buying the new recipe. We can still find the old recipe in stores as well. Either way, we will be switching brands.

Sensitive skin dogs. Specifically researched and compared products. Have been using the lamb and oatmeal recipe for almost two years. Our pups have started having skin allergies and we didn't figure it out until we saw the new recipe sticker. So disappointed in this product taking short cuts. Switching brands. Not interested in any guarantee copy and past answer from Instict. I would give zero stars if I could.

Our dogs did great on the lamb recipe, until they recently added chicken meal. Now our dogs don’t wanna eat it and they are developing skin issues. We will be switching to another brand.

Questions

1 - 4 of 4 Questions

Re-weight management- I have a 10 year old mini- doodle that is on the fluffy side in weight. I mix a bit of this in with Authority Weight mgt, (yum) although he's not loosing weight with the mixing,.... Would just Instinct be too calorie high for him?

  1. My dog eats only Instinct and has not lost weight

The ingredient section says this does not contain pea, while the third picture shows the fifth ingredient is pea. Why is the discrepancy? Which one should I believe?

  1. Hi There, we enhanced our Be Natural® recipes by increasing the amount of protein from animal sources to 70% or more. This update also reduced the amount of vegetable protein and removed peas and sweet potatoes. As a result of these changes, we improved palatability and maintained our high levels of digestibility. Thanks!

Does this food contain any peas, lentils or potatoes?

  1. You must read the label for EACH recipe - some DO contain pea (pea products) and some DO NOT.

Do this food contain pre & probiotics?

  1. This recipe includes added probiotics. Thanks!
