Works well to keep my turtle’s shell moist and shiny. Doesn’t seem to help as efficiently as I would hope with shell rot.

This used to be a great product but not anymore. I ordered 5 of these. 2 came from one warehouse and 3 from another. All 5 bottles were 2/3 or less full. There was very few leakage in the box so they must have shipped them like that. Not happy. The texture has also changed. More milky, like conditioner. Used to be thicker. Oh well

No, I do not recommend this product.

Questions

How often do you use the turtle shell conditioner?

  1. Twice a month

So does this heal a cracked torotise shell?

  1. No my friend it does NOT fix a cracked shell. However it DOES lubricate keep the shell from getting dry and CRACKED. A cracked shell will only get better MAYBE with time and growth. But this will help to keep it moist and hydrated so it will NOT crack in the future. It is also good for your OWN hands!! Best of luck!!

What are the ingredients?

  1. Active Ingredients: Water Glycarin, Soybean oil, Coconut oil, Wheat germ oil, Avocado oil, Methylparaben, Lanolin, Hydrolyzed Collagen, Protein, Castor oil, Sodium Chloride, Aliantoin, Olive oil, Rosemary oil, FD&C YELLOW#6, Benzyl Benzoate, Limonane

How long do you wait after massaging the moisturizer before putting your aquatic turtle back into its water/tank? Do you let it rest on the shell for a while before putting them back in the tank?

  1. I waited like 30 minutes

Does it help with turtle shell rot?

  1. I have dry land turtles and keeps shell from cracking.

Is this good for algea on the shell

  1. Yes, but not really what it's intended for. If your turtle has excessive algae, I recommend using an algae control product in the water. The conditioner is to help with moisturizing and small "cracks" in their shell.

Is this good for algea on the shell

  1. I use on land tortoises which doesn't have algea. It keeps the shell from cracking.

Can u use it on their arms feet

  1. Yes. I use it like you would use lotion on a human. It would hurt them.  I’m not a vet or product representative.

Do I do this daily? And can I do this for just the morning or is it for both morning and night serum type of thing?

  1. Personally, I only use the product about once a week and that seems to be fine. I don't think that the time of day really matters but multiple times daily seems excessive.

Should i leave the conditioner on the shell, and put my turtle on the water, or should i apply the conditioner, massage, and then wash it off?

  1. I apply the conditioner and massage. I don't wash it off.
