Ingredients

Dioctyl sodium sulfosuccinate 2.1%, undecylenic acid 0.5%. Other Ingredients: 97.4%.

Spray directly on reptile, but not to excess (runoff) and all areas where mites may hide. Avoid spraying eyes and facial areas. Alternatively, spray Reptile Spray onto a cloth and wipe on reptile. Reapply as often as necessary, but not more often than at 3-day intervals. Do not treat snakes for at least 6 hours after shedding their skin.

Rinse & dry surfaces before reinstating reptile to habitat. NOT FOR USE ON AMPHIBIANS SUCH AS FROGS/TOADS.

Excellent Product! My new snake had snake mites and I couldn’t get him into a vet appointment quickly. I read reviews and decided to try this product. It worked immediately. I was able to eradicate the snake mites within 24 hours and haven’t seen any since. Whenever I buy a new product for my snake, I spray it with this first. I also clean the terrarium with this spray. I couldn’t recommend it enough.

I have used this product for years. I spray any and all snakes whild they are in quarantine whether I see mites or not. I just follow product instructions and never have a problem.

Thankfully all of my lizards were able to become mite-free due to this product. Just make sure you follow the directions. It took a couple days to make sure all of the mites were gone.

Works great on my reptiles and we also were told we could use just a little bit to rub into the fur on our hamster and bunny when they got mites in their fur and it also worked great! Just dont spray it in their face or on food just a little on your hands then rub into the fur and clean their cage or area good and spray all over and let it sit and cry before putting them back. For reptiles you can spray it in and around their food and water no problem. Always buy twice what you think you will need as you will have to retreat later on as noted on the bottle to get any left over eggs.

I would love to see my local petco carry this product again. It is an inconvenience to have to order online when petco is 2 blocks from my house. It is an even bigger inconvenience when petco suggests a frontline product for $60, which is for dogs, in place of reptile spray for my ball pythons.

        Will this work safely on gerbils?

          I have used this product several times with rats, mice, rabbits, and hedgehogs. You can spray a little amount directly on their fur (Do not spray their face, nose, eyes, or inside the ears) to rub it in directly, or you can use a cloth to apply it. It should be completely fine for gerbils. If you are still unsure about using it on your gerbils, I would contact a veterinarian for additional advice (I am a Zoologist, not a vet lol).

              I am not sure, as this is used for mites on snakes. Best thing for gnats would be something like a Katchy, or using the old Apple Cider vinegar trick

              I guess you can, but why would you? It is made for reptiles, but we have sprayed this on the outside of reptile enclosures.
