Lately he was not eating his food so w bought him wet food and started mixing it and he was eating it but now he just licks the wet food and refuses to eat the dry food. What should we do? Years ago the vet recommended grain free food. A few months ago after news talked about grain free food being bad for the heart, we switched from Fromm Salmon Tunalini Grain Free to Coast + Range Beef with brown rice. I thought the ingredients in C+R seemed good, but for the last 6-8 weeks, his groin has been puffy/saggy. He's also gassy & not excited to eat lately. The vet did not feel anything unusual inside. Could this be from the brown rice? Thoughts on the food? Recommendations? Thank you!

This is Kyro, my 1st dog I've had for 7 months. In 7 months he went from 75lbs to 85. Was feeding 2 cups twice daily of "Diamond All Natural Beef Meal & Rice" with piece of Roast Beef with a teaspoon of some kind of gravy & 1 Milkbone, 1 bully stick, 2 Grain fee treats daily. I cut back to 1 cup with Roast beef twice daily. I don't want to starve him but I want to keep his defined stomach. He won't eat unless the Roast beef & gravy is in his food. Bag of food says 4 cups daily. Any suggestions?
The foods I'm considering for my dog are natural balance lid and Merrick lid. Natural balance is 20% protein and would provide between 11 and 13 grams of protein per day. The Merrick is 25% protein and would provide about 16 grams of protein per day. My dog is a cavalier King Charles spaniel, 5 years old and relatively inactive. What would be a better option for her. I will note the Merrick is slightly less calories than the natural balance. Natural balance is 350-375 and Merrick is 350 calories
I feed my dogs Pure Balance Trout + Lentils (has probitics) mixed with Purina One Beyond Small Bites Lamb and Rice(has the joint support in it as well so that’s nice!) . Can you take a look at the ingredients? They don’t have any grain allergies as they tolerate Cheerios as their training treats but I liked Pure Balances Ingredients and the Purina One has not as well but they eat the food readily with the better brand and plus has free joint supplement in it. Thank you for your opinions on them
