My chiweenie has a very sensitive tummy. I finally took him off of the food that they recommended after adoption~discovered he has to have grain free and (no bi products clearly) He loves the salmon sweet potato recipe and has been eating this for the past 3 years. The cons of this is the price$$ the 4lb bag 3/4cup a day last exactly 3 weeks. So I pay close to 45$ to 50$ monthly and with the cost of life in general lately I try to get it when it goes on sale and buy 2 bags at a time. I look at it at not having a coice because he LOVES this food he doesn't have gassy tummy nor loose stools. Thank you for this fabulous food`STRESS FREE that he eats and is a happy 13 year old baby

My black lab is allergic to everything. He gets diarrhea, horrible rashes, loses hair. This food is great for him. We mix in a little plain whole milk yogurt and he’s been doing great since we’ve been on this food for bag after bag.

Our sweet 5 year-old mix breed dog randomly got an episode of violent diarrhea and vomiting. We figured she ate something weird in the yard, switched to plain chicken, rice, and probiotics for a few days and she recovered. When we switched back to kibble, after another couple days she got sick again. Repeat x2 (over about 2 weeks total) and we figured we'd try a new bag of food. Problem solved! We've been buying Natural Balance LID food from Petco for about 4 years and it's worked great for us. But this problem bag was super OLD! It was sent to us in February 2024 and expires in April 2024. For comparison, a bag I bought in-store in March 2024 expires in May 2025. That tells me that the first bag was probably sitting in a hot warehouse for almost one year, the fat particles in the food went rancid, they sent it to us and made our girl sick. Petco needs to seriously look at their storage and shipping procedures. We will NOT be trusting Petco auto shipping and I'll be checking expiration dates very closely in-store from now on.

We couldn’t figure out why our dog was suffering so much with allergies and now we realize why—the last bag of LID fish and sweet potato had a different label!!!  They changed the formula!  How awful. Poor dog. So very disappointed

    Has the formula recently changed? My dog has been eating this since he was born and 8yrs later he has severe allergies and I'm wondering if I need to change his food. If it has changed what ingredients changed?

      There are different recipes.  My dog has severe allergies and we had done so well with this food for 8 yrs as well.  Now they are adding peas, brewers yeast, and other ingredients my labradoodle is allergic to.  This bag appears to have the old recipe so I will be purchasing it now.
