Is the Puppy and Adult the same dog food. Is the only difference the size of the food
- I bought the puppy food by accident for my two adult dogs (Vizsla and poodle)--the packaging looks very similar. They both had runny loose stools until I figured it out and a visit to the vet to check for parasites.

I am getting an 8 week Cocker Spaniel. I am not new to Cocker Spaniel, just puppy versions. I want to try a new food for her, and need suggestions. I did research & came across these dry foods: Merrick Grain Free Real Salmon+Sweet Potato, Merrick Limited Ingredient Grain Free Real Salmon+Sweet Potato, Taste of Wild Pacific Stream Grain Free Smoked Salmon, Taste of Wild Appalachian Valley Small Bree’s Grain after Roasted Venison. My 14 year old American Pit Mix has a food allergy and we did an elimination diet. I am concerned that she may not be getting enough nutritional value while trying to figure out what she cannot handle. I make her food in a rice cooker. I want to get this canned food for my dog as a topper to her dry food. It has shredded chicken along with whole white beans, peas and potatoes. Will she be able to digest this ok because the beans, peas and potatoes are not ground into a pate texture? she's on the dry version of this currently. I also ditched the twelve calorie treats and purchased the smaller 2 calorie treats and I'm only giving her three of those per day. Her total intake of extras is now less than 10% of her diet. :-)
I need help finding a dog food for Flash, who I got 8 months ago. He keeps having gas and very loose stools. He's been on Hill’s Prescription Diet Digestive Care i/d since May 27 & is doing well, but I want to go to a regular dry dog food. I've tried 1. Ziwi Peak Air-Dried Venison Dog – terrible gas 2. My two year old black lab has a very sensitive stomach & terrible skin allergies. He is currently eating Taste of the Wild Pacific Stream. I don’t believe this is working for him because he has terrible gas, frequent itching & licking despite taking an allergy medication, & very loose stool. I’ve been told to switch him to a limited ingredient diet, but I don’t know what brand to use. I am also concerned about peas/lentils can affect a dog’s heart.
