Does it’s job! Confusing latch mechanism

The gate is made of quality materials, and it’s easy to use, swinging both directions. It’s easy in the eyes as well.
Setup involves drilling into the wall, which is labor in your part and best achieved by two people, but makes it secure.
The instructions for how to work the latch mechanism are confusing. They tell you to twist something while lifting and swing. It works for me just by lifting the door slightly, and swinging either direction. No twisting involved.

Very adjustable, easy to install and looks nicer than those plastic gates. I like that it closes and locks by itself, and can lock in the open position. Feels solid and well made.

How exactly do you open the gate? I have another that is double trigger and lift and my 6yo struggles. How does the gate open?
My lab is 95 pounds. Will this fate be sturdy enough to stop him from crossing over?
- The gate is sturdy. Our German Wirehair is about that size and it works for him.

- It should. We are using it in an opening of 40".

Is it waterproof would I be able to use it outside?
- Thank you for your question. It is not reccommended to use our metal gates outdoors as exposure to the elements will cause the metal to rust.

Can a cat get through the openings or jump over the gate? I brought in our the outdoor cat that adopted us because she had to see vet. She is recovering in bathroom. I have 3 cats. Can cats get through slats or jump over it?

I have a very strong English bulldog and he grabs my gate at the bottom and pulls until it opens. Does this gate lock both ends?
- Thank you for your question. When installed correctly, this gate is great for keeping your pet secure. It has a double-locking mechanism at the top handle but no lock at the bottom.

I have a 40lb. corgi who busts through most any gate. Got your large model, which he tried, but to this point failed to break through. Was wondering it smaller model with tension rods would hold back a determined dog.
