Totally loving this pet gate. Our hallway is 36” wide, and this gate fits perfectly with no additional hardware. We are using the main gate, and one “wing” piece on each side, which were included. We picked this particular gate because it’s perfectly symmetrical (aesthetically pleasing), and is extra tall so our dog cannot jump over it. Installation was a breeze. It took maybe 20 minutes? 30 minutes tops? We used the paper instructions, no YT video or 4 hours wasted. Pay attention to the details, they tell you what you need to know. A proper wrench was even included. We are just letting the gate stand using the built-in tension. We did not put mounting holes in the wall. Our dog is under 15 pounds, so your situation may be different. The gate is quite easy to use. Even our 7 year old is able to get through. Pull back the latch, lift up a bit, and it will swing open. If you open it to 90 degrees or so, it will stay open, which is a nice touch if you’re busy around the house and aren’t sequestering the dog. Open to a smaller angle, and the gate will swing closed on its own. Or, you could close it 95% of the way and it won’t lock, so if you’re grabbing food or something, you don’t need to mess with the latch on your way back. We’ve had it installed for about a week now, but have had no complaints about this product. It works well, looks nice, and gets the job done.

Third party item do not buy!! Item came damaged and disgusting looking like it had already been used. Petco refuses to honor a return stating it’s a third party item I cannot return to their store. The company Midwest is refusing to acknowledge requests for return. STAY AWAY

I brought two of these gates a week ago from Petco. Used online video to assemble (forget written instructions). It’s well built, but my 92 year old mother got herself locked in because the gate requires strength neither one of us has to open and lift easily. I would have given five stars but for the lack of ease in the opening of the gate. Also, neither gate has the blue glow in the dark tabs. Disappointed, our is grey. The bolt tightening wrench supplied is too small. What was supposed to take a few minutes took 4 hours to complete. Requires lots of strength to install. R&D should make it easier to open. It would the be 6 stars.

This is great and easy to install but unfortunately the gate door slipped out of place and the locking mechanism is a little finicky now.

This gate is the absolute best! We purchased a different brand and it was flimsy and didn’t hold up for more than 2 months. I am incredibly pleased with the durability of this gate!!!

I have gone through so many gates and they all failed to work the way I wish them to work. This gate can be a bit confusing but check YouTube for a visual on how to set up if you are not a paper directions person like me. It took me 4 hours to setup and I didn’t get it but after I watched the video I set it up in minutes.its an amazing piece for dog control. I would recommend 100000000 times
