This crate is everything and more! Not extremely wide, but good space. Great height! Our 2 year old adopted puppers loves it. Highly recommend. It's a very sturdy crate for the money.

Well made crate, but am returning it because the doors do not open in the same direction; which limits where we can place the unit. Also would be nice if it had a divider for two smaller dogs to use the same crate.

great size for fitting 2 crates in SUV
We really love the sizing of this crate for putting two crates in our vehicle. The crate is pretty sturdy, but the plastic pan is flimsy. I am hoping that my boxers don't crack the pans over time. Other than that, we love the product.

Large enough for our dog but narrow enough to fit
The absolute perfect size to fit between the raised backseat and front seat of our truck. We looked all over for a crate big enough for our retriever yet narrow enough to fit in the backseat. The only problem is that I called Midwest to see if they made a crate mat to fit and they don’t! No one does!!

Will 2 xlarge crates fit together in back of SUV?
- No. I bought two crates (the one referred to and another that was slightly smaller) but they did not fit. I had not considered the curve of the interior roof/"ceiling" when I did my measurements. Measure the highest point inside and consider how wide that point is. A square roof might have worked. I am driving a Toyota Highlander.

My dog has chewed through the bars of 2 crates, how sturdy are these bars?
- The bars are steel and I find it hard to imagine any dog chewing through them. I couldn’t easily bend them by hand if at all. however the bottom pan is plastic and I’d be more worried about your dog chewing through that. The pan is rigid, but not super thick plastic.

We need a larger crate for our dog, but it must fit in a hallway with limited space. (Current crate is 21 inches wide, a Kong, very strong.) Is this crate strong enough to be a permanent indoor crate, and not just a crate used for traveling?
- Yes this is strong enough to be used all the time. It is just more narrow as it is designed to fit in the back of the car.
