What size crate should I purchase for an adult German Shepherd I am planning to adopt?
I've moved and to get my cat acclimated I've decided I'm going to crate him while we are working. The crate i have is 42"x28"x30", with a dual level. Will this be enough space for my cat? He is 14y/o, and will be crated for 6-8 hours 5 days a week for a few weeks, until he gets used to the area. Of course he'll be inside the house, and let out in the evenings and sometimes for a bit on lunchtime.
What type of bed would you suggest for my miniature dachshund? She is 3 1/2 months old. She gets cold easily & sleeps w/ me in my bed. She always loves cuddling with me whever I am if on the couch resting, etc. I always have a small blanket & she loves for me to cover her up totally.. She crawls under it & goes to sleep!
I want to crate train my 1 year old dog. I bought a "medium" crate for her , shes 25 lbs - aussie/dashund mix so shes kind of long shaped. The measurments on the box are for a dog even taller/wider than mine... but the crate doesnt really seem big enough for her to turn around in (unless she kind of squirmed up into a circle). Do you think I need to buy a larger crate? Why does the size on the box say its good for the dog's size.. / ?

Need help crate training. Will sleep fine at night, and in car. Will sometimes whines in the crate alone (say 2 out of 10 times ). She has a dog run and she is doing very well in there increasing her times in there as I do school online. How long should we get her comfortable in there if she has a big sheltered dog run ?
So my dog keeps peeing in her kennel. I have started making more frequent potty breaks and that has helped some. But she still has accidents about twice a week. So I have thought about getting her a smaller kennel. She is in a 42’’ wire kennel. She can lay in a ball in the corner of it and not take up much room. She is too tall for a smaller kennel. What should I do? Also she had had all her bloodwork done and nothing is wrong. She is 30’’ tall and 30’’ long.
I moved over the summer and my dog has been in my new apartment since the middle of July. Now that the weather is cooler, our heat is on. We live in an older place with big radiators that sometimes make a clinking sound. It’s not very loud, but it makes Diesel freak out. He will be awake all night pacing and panting and crying and drooling. This past week he was so stressed and anxious he peed and pooped the floor. I'm afraid Xylitol made be an ingredient that is not disclosed on the package. I contacted Natures Made. I was told No Xylitol in the Melatonin.
