I've moved and to get my cat acclimated I've decided I'm going to crate him while we are working. The crate i have is 42"x28"x30", with a dual level. Will this be enough space for my cat? He is 14y/o, and will be crated for 6-8 hours 5 days a week for a few weeks, until he gets used to the area. Of course he'll be inside the house, and let out in the evenings and sometimes for a bit on lunchtime.
Why does my dog chew up his beds? What would be the best bed for an aging dog?
We are desperate for help with crating Woody. From 4 am on he whines and cries. We give him a VetriScience Composure Behavioral Health snack before bed, and give him plenty of toys (right away and when he starts whining). We even got a larger crate for him (30 inches), and cover it so it's den like. Is there anything stronger that will keep him sleeping longer? What can we do to help him ease into crating? We are ready to give up on crating/put him in another room :(
Hi, I have a F1 Miniature Poodle and Bernese Mountain Dog Mix that I am picking up on Wednesday. The mother (Bernese) is 60 pounds and the father (mini poodle) is 15 pounds. Can you advise me on what sized Crate to buy? I'm not sure how big he will be and I was looking online and thinking of buying a 36-inch Intermediate size crate. I want to crate train my 1 year old dog. I bought a "medium" crate for her , shes 25 lbs - aussie/dashund mix so shes kind of long shaped. The measurments on the box are for a dog even taller/wider than mine... but the crate doesnt really seem big enough for her to turn around in (unless she kind of squirmed up into a circle). Do you think I need to buy a larger crate? Why does the size on the box say its good for the dog's size.. / ?
My female dog 7 months old was fixed two days ago. She’s a very active dog and is feeling better and having a hard time with staying calm and not running around. In the crate, while she does fine at night time, she is being wild and I’m worried the crate is even worse for trying to keep her run around. Would it be appropriate to give her Benadryl to keep her sedated for the next few days? She is 7 months old and weighs 32 pounds. Pic for cuteness.
