I Regret Buying This

I bought this cage because everyone raved about how great Ferret Nation was, but I wish I could give this zero stars. This cage does not fit together at all. The pieces are just slightly bent/out of alignment, and that has made it impossible to put together. Not only that, but trying to slide the pieces into place is destroying the paint. This thing is going to be completely rusted out within a year. I would send it back, but I can't even lift it. It's too heavy. I had to take it out of the box in pieces just to even bring it in the house. I completely regret buying this, and I wish I had bought literally any other cage.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Got my cages today and right off the bat the boxes were destroyed. Multiple holes in the box. Opened it up to find almost every panel is bent. Nothing fits together nicely. They double charged me and when I called to ask what happened they said I would get a refund but never did. So not only have they charged me for 4 double story cages, when I only got 2. I can only use 1 double and one part of the other cage.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Nice cage. Received it fairly quickly. It wasn’t to difficult to put together, took maybe 45 minutes. Seems to be well made and sturdy. We are very pleased with our purchase!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Perfect cage

As I’m pretty picky about my fur babies having room to play just incase they don’t get out on time to Exercise. This cage is perfect for one possibly two, again that’s my preference. I have two of these cages one double and I bought another double with the ad on top which has my two favorites in that one, and it’s perfect for the two.

No, I do not recommend this product.

Furry boy mansion

Love it! Lots more space than it looks in the picture. My ferret went from a questionably sized small animal cage (I later found out was a large rabbit cage) to a mansion. He climbs up and down the levels all day. Only con is now he can bite the bars because they’re far enough apart.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Great cage except the cage separator & building it

Best chinchilla cage! I had to separate all 3 of my chinchillas since they broke their bond and it was great. The one thing I don’t like is part where you can section the cage. The issue is that my chinchilla knocked the ramped 3 times which we had it sectioned off. Then when we got the cage it was the manafucater who messed up on some of the parts when we put the cage together since we couldn’t snap some the parts in place. We didn’t use a hammer. Then we had to get a car tire iron which worked great to smack the cage to get the parts in place!

Yes, I recommend this product.

Should use rubber mallet. Works well. Difficult for one person to put together, but can be done.

Sturdy and larger than expected. The packaging was all torn up, but the cage was fine.

Questions

Can I house a chicken in this cage comfortably? It would be a temporary setup to quarantine for a few nights. She would only be in here during the evening.

Is habitat collapsible for moving? If so, how?

Would I be possible to use this for a rabbit or would the second story hole be too small? All the other habitats have wired floor which aren’t good for the rabbits feet. If not any suggestions? I’m looking for a habitat that gives a lot of space/exercise

      1. I don't think this would be a good fit for a rabbit at all, unless a very small one. Holes from floor to floor are small

I have this cage and it was the home for my chinchilla, but he recently passed away. I do not want to get rid of the cage but it takes up so much space. Is there any way to break the cage down (take it apart) to store it?

      1. So I am answering my own question. I have had this cage for many years so I did not remember that I put this together so there must be a way to break it down. The answer is yes, You can break the whole thing down. Pretty easy.

Can the bottom shelves/ wheels be removed so the cage sits flat on the ground or be places on a table?

      1. No, the legs alone will not support the weight of the cage.  This will cause the cage to tip over.

Is this the 180 series ferret cage, or the 182 series?  I don't see this specified online  To be clear, many places are still selling the 180 which is the older model.

      1. I have the 182 model. It is the Midwest ferret nation cage.

      Is this good for chinchillas

      1. Yes. I have 2 chinchillas in one cage and I have a single one in another cage and they love it. They have so much room to run and play.

Can the trays and the metal bars under the trays be removed? I want to get this for my rats, and I want them to have more space in the cage to climb around.

      1. There is a cutout in the plastic tray/rack between the cages for climbing through, it comes with an attachable ramp.

I was planning to request this online from Petco, so I could pick-up at the store, but it is all sent via shipment.  A different vendor website stated this Condo-Cage weighs 107 lbs. and arrives packaged over a heavy pallet. Is that true about a PALLET???

      1. I ordered this online and it did not come on a pallet nor would it need to. That's weird.

I'm trying to purchase this via online Petco, but when I attempt check out there is "NO"- in-store pick-up.  That worries me, as another website mentions this Condo-Cage weighs 107 lbs. and also arrives in a HEAVY PALLET.  How true is that about a pallet?

      1. This is a heavy cage In a big box. 100 plus pounds sounds about right. I found having it delivered to your residence is the best way to get it to your home. It'll come right to your door without all the extra hassle n then drag it into your home and set up
