I’ve had this cage for about a month or so now, and I’m fairly happy with it! I have a ferret and this cage is definitely large enough for him. I’ve noticed a lot of vertical cages usually have small platforms, but not with this one! My only two pain points with this cage are the ramps, they’re just a little too narrow and tall for my boy to comfortably use them. He does use them, but he always hops off the side or kind of slides down them instead. So they’re definitely usable, just not ideal for longer animals like ferrets. The other pain point is really just me not wanting to purchase accessories when the cage is already pretty expensive. Idk about other ferrets owners but every ferret I’ve ever had has hated using a separate litter box in their bed. All of my ferrets push the box out of the way and poop behind/on the box when it’s in their cage. They do just fine pooping in the same box outside of their bed, but for whatever reason they always hate pooping in the box when I put it in their cage. Sadly the same is true with this cage, I tried a box and he pooped right behind it instead. This cage’s bottom tray does not have raised sides. So if use the bottom as a litter box, the litter will fall out the sides and your ferret will probably end up pooping on the bars. But! This company does also sell scatter guards, which I purchased and added last night, so I’m hopeful they will resolve this for me. Other than those two points this cage is great! My boy is an escape artist like most ferrets and is always finding new ways of breaking out of cages, but so far he’s been stumped. I’m happy that it’s large enough for him to move around comfortably, and if we need to clean one of the levels we can pull up the ramp so he’s confined to just one level while we’re cleaning. The platforms also slide out and the doors open on both levels so it’s super easy to clean! I’d recommend this cage to anyone who wants a bigger home for their ferret(s), it’s really not terribly expensive for what you get, but I know it was a stretch for my budget when I bought it.

Very roomy and lots of space for accessories. Ratties love it. Keep six females in it and they seem very happy.

I've been wanting to upgrade my chinchilla's cage to critter nation for some months now and finally got to it. Of course assembly took some time mainly because we didn't realize we put the base parts wrong at least a good few times. And it took a good while to get some of the parts in but all that aside it was worth it. Only current issue is that my chinchilla eventually decided that she should chew on the velcro holding the ramps causing all three to fall down. Might need to find a better clip or something for those but it's fine for now. After all she doesn't need them but she likes to run and jump up to the shelves. Overall I love this cage, there's so much more room now and it's easy to access. Now I just need something for the ramps and some more accessories. Oh and I did buy fleece liners separately since plastic would be too dangerous by itself.

Nice cage, poor craftsmanship which makes it harder to put together and not as sturdy as it should be. Sloppy welding in places blocks bars from sitting flush when screwed on, and sit at weird angles that don't meet the place the other side would connect. Some of the wire pieces had to be bent to make them fit. The doors don't fit correctly and keep popping out. For the money would expect better.

Awesome cage! I divided the cage for my cockatiel and my hedgehog. My hedgehog has the bottom half and does well, though he doesn’t climb up the ramp at all. My cockatiel seems so enjoy the cage too. The only thing is that since he is handicapped and can’t fly, he can’t get to the top of the cage and sit there on his own because the border is too thick for his beak to hold onto. Other than that great cage!

For the size and durability, thia habitat can't be beat. However, the assembly can take a while simply because you have to figure out which parts are which. The directions mention labeled parts but the individual pieces have no stickers or tags indicating this. Also like most reviewers, I ended up with door latches that did not match up. In closing the doors, sometimes they get caught and have to be pushed in down or up depending on how they are off center to fully close. If the parts were labeled and the doors matched up, it would have made assembly a breeze and a 5 star worthy review.
