Dogs paw got stuck few times

Lilliana002

pen is great for maybe a bunny but personally I think not for dogs. I’m a new dog owner and i have a goldie (4months) and she’s so hyper and gets excited super quickly so she jumps up and down, runs and all the fun stuff. The pen is nice it does what it intends to do but… with a risk of getting your dogs paw stuck. I’ve unfortunately had 4 incidents where my puppy got her paw stuck/caught from jumping while in it. One time I was on the other side of my house and I heard yelping loudly and I ran quickly to get her paw out. It hurt so bad poor thing peed on herself :( Since then i’ve changed pens because it was happening frequently and the anxiety of her getting it stuck again when i’m not around was on the roof. I could also add that unless ur dog is a fresh puppy (ofc depends on breed and personality) your dog is able to push the pen around (happened with me when I had it lol she’d push it around with just her nose 😂).

No, I do not recommend this product.

My dogs paw got stuck

I bought this about 4 months ago for my puppy (new dog owner) to train her a bit and she’s a goldie so she gets super hyper and excited and jumps up and down a lot and i’ve had about 4 incidents where her paw gets stuck and one time i was on the other side of my house and i heard her yelping super loudly and quickly ran to get her paw out. It had hurt her so bad poor thing peed her self. I’ve since changed pens. If you are getting this I would advise and say this could be great perhaps for a bunny but a dog Im not so sure. The pen is well it does what it needs to do but you’re at the risk of getting your dogs paw stuck.

So disappointed mostly with petco!! I bought this and they won’t let me return it! They said I can hang on to it until the do in store returns again. Sad. I got it as an exercise pen for our guinea pig but he fits right through the spaces in the gate. It’s also too large for our area and it was the smallest size.

No, I do not recommend this product.

I have a 75 pound German Shepard and need a pen for her But am concerned that she would drag it around how much does this weigh?

  1. This weighs about 20 pounds.

What is the circumference?  Can it be opened out straight?

Can I get 3 and combine them together, is there any way to attract them together? I'm assuming it comes in several pieces, and therefore I can attach 3 pens altogether, right? How long is 1 pen if NOT closed, but open & laid stretched out in length?

Does this model, the Midwest black Contour exercise pen have the same black Electro-Coat finish as the Midwest Homes for pets model ?( it only states that it is made of black steel) They are both made by the same "Midwest" company.

What is the difference between these two models? They are both made by MidWest, are 48"H & black....THE MidWest Black Contour Exercise Pen for Dogs, 48"H. VS THE 48"H MidWest Homes for Pets Exercise Pen

Does the 48"H model come without a door also? What is the total weight ? What gauge metal is it made of?

          1. It does come with a door

What are all the dimensions of the sizes?

          1. I believe the size of the pens don't vary, only the height.
