Can you add this to existing tank with fish that are already in there?
- Absolutely! Using the required amounts for the tank size will not harm the fish in the tank.

Is it safe for turtle?
- Yes. However I would recommend a water conditioner that is specific for turtles. They do sell it and I would do that as it includes additional vitamins turtles need for their shell and necessary for their health.

Will this product raise Kh? Mine is low and I am not sure what I need to do to raise it.
- The instructions call for 5 mL per 10 gallons. At that rate the KH rise in distilled water is not measurable with the API test kit that I have. It takes 75.7 mL of Microbe-Lift Extreme per gallon of distilled water to raise the KH to 7 degrees. I don’t see any warnings on the website about using too much. Add some and test your water. Add more if it is still low. You could also use some bottled drinking water to raise KH and GH. I have the opposite problem as you do. My hardness is too high, so I use 50/50 tap and distilled water.

- It will detoxify copper, but not remove it.

- No. The product is designed to help prevent fluctuations in pH and KH.

Will microbelift extreame help lower water hardness (gh)?
- Extreme will not lower water hardness. The best way to lower hardness is to do partial water changes using R/O or distilled water.

I just bought this and the Special blend aquarium bacteria, can I put them in at the same time or do I have to put one in first and then wait to do the other ?
- Use the Xtreme first to make sure any chlorine or chloramines have been removed from the water. You only need to wait a few minutes before adding the Special Blend.

How long until I can see a lowering of my nitrates and nitrites with this product?
- Microbe-Lift Xtreme Water Conditioner will lower Nitrites almost instantly. It will not lower Nitrates. Microbe-Lift Special Blend is the one that is able to reduce Nitrates. Trying to treat betta for Popeye otherwise healthy happy and active. Moved from five to three gallon filtered heated tanks. Feed freeze dried blood worms, daphnia and bug bites by fluval. Also am changing some if not all water every few days. Treated with kanaplex several doses no real improvement. Switzed to metroplex in water treatment as I don't know how food treatment works or how to dose started four doses two days apart and there is some improvement to the eyes. Med is miconidazole.
I have recently used medication in my 50 gal freshwater fish tank with one 22 year old comet goldfish in it . the meds cured my fish but must have killed my beneficial Bacteria as now my established tank has been going through another nitrogen cycle. It's been four weeks now the ammonia us back to zero so is nitrite zero BUT my nitrates are now spiked about 80 and the water is cloudy. Did 2 partial water changes over the last 8 days. Will a UV sterilizer help ?? Please advise. Thanks Lina

My goldfish has popeye and I have been treating it with Kanaplex. I have given my fish 3 doses of kanaplex and I don’t see him getting any better. The container said to add only up to 3 doses. Can I add more doses of kanaplex to continue treating my goldfish?
My pond goldfish had swim bladder issues so has been inside for 6 weeks. He was pretty active and I brought in another to keep him company. Since Feb 1st, he is at the bottom, eating a bit especially when I drop it right in from of him. No external signs of any disease that I can seen. Nitrites are high as tank is cycling. I am adding Prime, aquarium salt (1 gram) and 30% water changes. Nitrite converting bacteria is establishing now. Any thought on what it could be and what to do? Thank you
1 of 2 goldfish has been upside down and struggling..been doing this off n on for 4 mos but has been consistently upside down for 2 days now..was advised to not feed for 3 days...this has worked before but not now..I soak the flakes before feeding .. did a water change this morning..I don't see anything on his skin..have had him for 3 years using same wellwater, no chlorine..other fish seems fine..What can I do?

The fish has attacks of fast uncontrolled movement since we have it. Sometimes it hits itself on walls and objects. Lately it lays down on the floor on the side and rubs itself on objects. It got scratches all over and hurt his eye. It eats normally. No visible parasites, but seems something itches it on the skin. We bought Imagitarum Parasites Remedy, but hesitate to use it as some reviews say fish died of it. We also have shrimps and snails. Should we use the remedy?

Fish has white fluffy stuff on gills and eyes as well as what looks like fin rot. We’ve lost almost all the fish in our aquarium… we thought ick initially and have dosed Melafix but it doesn’t seem to be working. They won’t eat, they’re either laying on the ground or floating at the top of the tank gasping ): we have a large tank with several peaceful species and now we’re down to just a handful of fish left.
