Can you add this to existing tank with fish that are already in there?
- Absolutely! Using the required amounts for the tank size will not harm the fish in the tank.

Is it safe for turtle?
- Yes. However I would recommend a water conditioner that is specific for turtles. They do sell it and I would do that as it includes additional vitamins turtles need for their shell and necessary for their health.

Will this product raise Kh? Mine is low and I am not sure what I need to do to raise it.
- The instructions call for 5 mL per 10 gallons. At that rate the KH rise in distilled water is not measurable with the API test kit that I have. It takes 75.7 mL of Microbe-Lift Extreme per gallon of distilled water to raise the KH to 7 degrees. I don’t see any warnings on the website about using too much. Add some and test your water. Add more if it is still low. You could also use some bottled drinking water to raise KH and GH. I have the opposite problem as you do. My hardness is too high, so I use 50/50 tap and distilled water.

- It will detoxify copper, but not remove it.

- No. The product is designed to help prevent fluctuations in pH and KH.

Will microbelift extreame help lower water hardness (gh)?
- Extreme will not lower water hardness. The best way to lower hardness is to do partial water changes using R/O or distilled water.

I just bought this and the Special blend aquarium bacteria, can I put them in at the same time or do I have to put one in first and then wait to do the other ?
- Use the Xtreme first to make sure any chlorine or chloramines have been removed from the water. You only need to wait a few minutes before adding the Special Blend.

How long until I can see a lowering of my nitrates and nitrites with this product?
- Microbe-Lift Xtreme Water Conditioner will lower Nitrites almost instantly. It will not lower Nitrates. Microbe-Lift Special Blend is the one that is able to reduce Nitrates. I have a black moor gold fish who has a severe case of Popeye I quarantined him in a separate , but I’m not sure what medication to use for him .
After using metronidazole 400mg×2 tablets in 75 litre aquarium tank, my two parrot fish has thread like some seeing near gills and genital area ? How to treat them ?
I have recently used medication in my 50 gal freshwater fish tank with one 22 year old comet goldfish in it . the meds cured my fish but must have killed my beneficial Bacteria as now my established tank has been going through another nitrogen cycle. It's been four weeks now the ammonia us back to zero so is nitrite zero BUT my nitrates are now spiked about 80 and the water is cloudy. Did 2 partial water changes over the last 8 days. I noticed bloat in my flowerhorn about two weeks ago. It was there when I fed him and went away when I didn't. So I treated him with Epsom salt soaked pellets, bloat was present then. Then I noticed white poop so I stopped feeding entirely and added metronidazole 400 to the tank. Didn't work as I only saw white poop, so I added the medication into his food and now I can see brown poop hanging from a clear poop sticking out of his butt. Earlier the poop didn't stick out of his butt. What to do?
The fish has attacks of fast uncontrolled movement since we have it. Sometimes it hits itself on walls and objects. Lately it lays down on the floor on the side and rubs itself on objects. It got scratches all over and hurt his eye. It eats normally. No visible parasites, but seems something itches it on the skin. We bought Imagitarum Parasites Remedy, but hesitate to use it as some reviews say fish died of it. We also have shrimps and snails. Should we use the remedy?
I have a problem with parrot fish tank , when after water change I used 1000mg erythromycin for prevention to fungus and bacterial infection for parrot fish , so i today mistakenly not running filter and heater ,after that I seeing that in a large quantities white micro parasitic or bacteria type in tank in a free swimming stage swim all over tank though what I do that in this condition please help me ?
I have a wolf fish that seems to be sick. He is upside down in the tank now for 24 hrs. He is still breathing but seems to bee struggling. I have increased the temp in the tank and added aquarium salt. I have added a bacterial and fungal treatment today into the tank. I have used some moss to prop him up correctly in hopes this will help him. What would u suggest? Please help.
Hello, I have a betta and I'm sure he has moderate fin rot. Thing is I have him in a 1.1 bowl because I broke my bigger 2.5 gal tank. Ive been doing water changes and recently bought aquarium salt, bettafix, and Tail and Body Cure from API but I'm not sure how to use it in such a small tank w/o a heater... I know its such a bad environment but its not for long. I just need my betta to last a weak till I get a decent tank. Could you please give me a suggestion. I greatly appreciate your time.
My year old has contracted either Ich or velvet. He is trying to scratch against his tank he has white patches but also when I've shined a light on him It also looks like he could have velvet. When I noticed his lethargy and his behavior I immediately transferred him into a smaller bowl to treat him with betafix (all I have until the pet shop opens covered his bowl to leave him in darkness His appetite is normal. Hello i have a fish tank 45l with 11 fishes in it (Shubunkin , opaline gourami , honey gourami , trichogaster etc) . i added the fish a week ago and tested the water and it was fine.today i see that 2 of my Scalars aren't eating like everyone else , so i tested the water . Everything was fine except for Nitrite levels that was 3.0 - 5.0 ppm. I changed 25 % of the water and added Easy Life Filter Medium and after some hours i tested again the water quality and it was the same I also added salt
When I change the water in my fish tank, after I add the appropriate amount of conditioner, a white fuzz seems to appear on all the objects in my tank, aside from the fish. I’ve had the tank for over a year now and it happens on all the water changes. My fish seem to be unaffected (I have 4). What could potentially be happening?
