This product saved my freshwater shark. He had an anchor worm lodged inside his gills. It appeared to be causing him breathing issues. A one week treatment and the parasite disappeared and the shark is breathing and acting normal again. I highly recommend this product.

With one treatment all sign of infection was gone on day 7. I continued the recommendation to treat the water for an additional two weeks (total of 3 doses). Follow the instructions to clean your tank before medicating the water and clean it prior to each additional dose. Also, remove any carbon from your filter.

Yes, I recommend this product.

My pond was infected with fish lice, lost couple of Koi. Couple of my big platinum Ogon, Sushui and Asagi looked sick their fins were inflamed and red I was worried I was gonna lose them too. Then I cleaned the pond thoroughly, changed all of the water, and put this Microbe-Lift lice anchor worm solution according to their direction, a week later I changed 60% of the water, then repeat, following week later same thing...60% water change and repeat. My pond is free of lice now and my sick babies fins look so much better they are back to themselves being happy Kois. Product works if you follow their direction.

Yes, I recommend this product.

Is this safe for Plecos ?

  1. I'm not an expert...but used this with no issues to my pleco...the bottle does say safe for all fish and plants and snails...just not with crustaceans

Will this kill all kinds of parasite worms?

  1. No, this is specific to the treatment of Lice & Anchor Worm

Will this product kill leeches?

  1. The short answer is “no”. There are many holistic leech traps. But the best way to eliminate leeches from a pond is to clean it thoroughly. They thrive on detritus, or to say it another way, fish waste and uneaten fish food. If you have not already used Microbe-Lift/Sludge Away, you may want to start there. They can also vacuum the bottom of the pond. But the best way would be a complete cleanout and to add bleach to the pond after cleaning, keeping the fish out for another week or so. Then rinse the pond and refill it before returning fish to the pond.

Can this be used with a carbon filter and does it interact with a de-chlorinator?

  1. If you recently changed the filter and put in fresh carbon you should remove it for treatment. If the carbon has been in the filter for more than 10 days, you can leave it in. It does not interact with dechlorinator.

Is this safe to use in planted aquariums? Mostly ferns and Anubias in the tank

  1. It is safe for use with plants. Avoid using it with crustaceans.

How many ml for a ten gallon tank if I remove have the tank before treating? I have a small coy with several on him . Rubbing the bubbler changing water frequently. He is going to be in a larger outdoor pond soon so need to treat

  1. You dose according to water volume. If there are 5 gallons of water in a 10 gallon tank, you treat for 5 gallons. 1 tsp treats 20 gallons, so divide the volumes. 20÷5=4. So you would dose 1/4 tsp for 5 gallons.

Will this kill the worms currently on the fish as well as any eggs in the tank? When are water changes recommended?

  1. The treatment can be used at any stage of the parasites life cycle. Water changes of approximately 20% should be performed prior to each dose.

I have a 3.5 gallon tank. How much should I use and how often do I treat? For how long? Is it contagious to other fish? I had this fish temporarily in another tank before this one.

  1. Anchor Worm can spread to other fish. We recommend 3 doses, one week apart. You can continue with weekly doses for a longer period of time, if the condition has not cleared up. For a 3.5 gallon tank, you would add 0.9 ml per dose.

Can this be used for Flowerhorn fish's bloating stomach/parasite remedy? If not what do you recommend?

  1. This product specifically treats Lernaea and Argulus. For internal parasites I would recommend using a product containing praziquantel.

Can this product be used in a koi pond?

  1. There is a Microbe-Lift POND Lice & Anchorworm product that is specifically for use in ponds. The concentration in these two products may not be the same. Please use the one for POND in your pond and the one for AQUARIUM in your aquarium.
