My dog was given 50mg of methocarbamol and he took his first this morning at 8am. He cannot function. He is only laying down, sleeping mostly and even has diarrhea in his sleep. Is this normal because I'm worried and it's been 11 hours since he took it.
My great dane is 175 lbs. He was limping and we have him some methocarbamol 500 mg. The dosage said 20-30 mg per lb so we gave him 2 pills but now I'm worried that may have been too much. Is this amount dangerous?
A vet that specializes in neurology provided me with Gabapentin 50 mg tabs to give my cat twice a day. There are no numbers on them, just white round scored tablets. Evertthing I google says lowest dose is 100 mg. Concerned I may have been given the wrong medication.
I am taking care of a mature white Lab...he has a pinched nerve in his neck....the doctor prescribed methocarbamol, Tramadol, and Remadyl. Do you think this is too much medication or the right combo of medications? Im always cautious about Remadyl.

My dog was prescribed 600mg/day of Gabapentin as an adjunct to Meloxicam for arthritic knee pain. I read that 1.4 mg per pound of weight is the standard dose for dogs for pain. 600 mg seems excessive. My 12 year old 72 lb dog takes galliprant and MSM for osteoarthritis. Galliprant costs $100.00/month. Now my vet sold me GABAPENTIN so she takes GabaP, galliprant and MSM each day. gabapentin is only $10/per month. Why is there a $90 dollar price difference between the two meds if they both target osteoarthritis pain? How does gabapentin work differently from galliprant to relieve pain or do I really need galliprant since she started gabapentin and is more entergetic than on galliprant alone?

If the dose of Gabapentin is so small, why is it only available in 100mg capsules? That means I have to break open the capsule and divide it into thirds for my cat!
