Description

Methimazole treats hyperthyroidism in cats, a condition in which too much thyroid hormone is produced. It will not cure the disease, but will usually control it if given for the rest of the cat's life. Methimazole may also be used to protect the kidneys in dogs receiving cisplatin, an anti-cancer drug.

This is a much more cost effective method to get my cat his meds. My vet originally called in the same medication but in a cream for his ears. While it worked, his ears became crusty and he was not a fan of medicine time. Now we crush the pill and sprinkle it over a spoonful of canned food and call it done. It's also MUCH cheaper!
