Metacam is an oral product to be given by mouth. Shake the oral suspension well before use and measure the dose using the syringe provided by the manufacturer. To prevent accidental overdosing of small dogs, administer drops on food only, never directly into the mouth. For long-term treatment, use the lowest dose needed to provide relief. For arthritic conditions, it may need to be given periodically for the animal's lifetime.

What's the shelf life of Metacam after opening? Thanks for any help.
I used to purchase the 180ml 1.5mg/mL of Metacam for my 98lb. German Shepherd with hip dysplasia. It is much more economical for me. You seem to only sell the 10mL. Can I get the larger bottle?

Is Metacam Oral Suspension for dogs okay to give cats? I had a vet give me a bottle for dogs, for my cat - he said it was more concentrated? I’m just hesitant to give my cat anything for dogs. If it’s okay to give, should I adjust the dose lower as it’s more concentrated?
Hello, my dog has to take 8ml of Metacam but I accidentally gave her 12ml. Her weight is 8.5kg. Should I be doing anything now?
My 12.5 year old Siamese just had a full mouth dental done on July 31/19. I’ve basically wasted all 3 of the metacam syringes, trying to administer them. She won’t open her mouth for me, she backs away and licks her lips. I’ve tried putting it on her food, but she stops eating as soon as it’s on there. Is there any other way I can do this? I’m really stressed out, she’s probbably in pain. First time I’ve never been able to give a cat a syringe. Idk what to do?

I have 2 dogs. One is 37 pounds and receives a 15ml dose of Meloxicam daily. My small dog, 10 pounds, got into his food earlier (which had the Meloxicam on it) and ate 1/4 to 1/2 of his food. Hi, our dog Guinness had surgery yesterday to remove a cancerous Seminoma tumor under his bladder. I noticed that after he took his antibiotic this morning- Clavamox 375mg in tablet form- he didn't seem like himself for half an hour to an hour. Very lethargic and didn't want to get up. Before that he was up and walking, urinated, ate and drank. He's eaten, drank water and used the bathroom since as well, but is 375mg the correct dosage for a 40lb dog? Thank you!
My dogs herniated disc was not improving with repeated uses of meta cam we are now trying low dose prednisone over a 10 day period but he still seems uncomfortable can I use the meta cam at the same time or is it best not to. Can he take any other pain reliever until the steroids help him with the inflammation
my dog is going in for the TECA Surgery for one of his ears that has a tumor growing out of his ear and down the canal on the 28th and he has 3 pills to take 2 are pain pills he dose not take pills well can I crush them and desolve them in some kind of fluid and put it on his food they are Carprofen 75mg, Gabapentin 100mg,and Cephalexin 500mg. I've crushed and opened them and mixed with his wet food but he isn't eating all the food can you help me with this question?
Last Monday vet gave Bella clavamox for "subjectively" enlarged lymph nodes after dental. Was on clindacure for 7 days, vet wanted to try liquid clavamox. After first dose Bella was not herself, not interested in treats and was coughing and wheezing after. I stopped and haven't given since. No more issues at all. (Did tell receptionist when called to check on Bella). Is it worth trying the clavamox once more or just keep her off? Also, how long is that mixture good for in fridge?
Hello. I wanted to ask the dosage for these 2 medicines. They are for a baby crow with splayed leg. The first medicine is Neuroqik and the other is Meloxicam. The doctor I asked asked me to give 10 drops from Meloxicam for today and 5 drops twice a day from tmr onwards , which I feel like is too much for a baby crow. Neuroqik's dosage was prescribed to be 0.5 ml twice daily. Is this prescription correct?
