What size crate should I purchase for an adult German Shepherd I am planning to adopt?
I purchased a dog house for my German Shepard 3 yrs old and he won't go in it, he is about 65-70 lbs and I purchased the extra lg igloo
So my dog keeps peeing in her kennel. I have started making more frequent potty breaks and that has helped some. But she still has accidents about twice a week. So I have thought about getting her a smaller kennel. She is in a 42’’ wire kennel. She can lay in a ball in the corner of it and not take up much room. She is too tall for a smaller kennel. What should I do? Also she had had all her bloodwork done and nothing is wrong. She is 30’’ tall and 30’’ long.
I want to crate train my 1 year old dog. I bought a "medium" crate for her , shes 25 lbs - aussie/dashund mix so shes kind of long shaped. The measurments on the box are for a dog even taller/wider than mine... but the crate doesnt really seem big enough for her to turn around in (unless she kind of squirmed up into a circle). Do you think I need to buy a larger crate? Why does the size on the box say its good for the dog's size.. / ?
I've moved and to get my cat acclimated I've decided I'm going to crate him while we are working. The crate i have is 42"x28"x30", with a dual level. Will this be enough space for my cat? He is 14y/o, and will be crated for 6-8 hours 5 days a week for a few weeks, until he gets used to the area. Of course he'll be inside the house, and let out in the evenings and sometimes for a bit on lunchtime.
My mixed black lab has a small "wound" (about 1.5" long). He licks it often and sometimes tries to chew at it a bit. He's fixed. He is about 90 lbs. and about 3' long from snout to the base of his tail. We kennel him into a large crate (42"L x 27"H x 27"D). There doesn't seem to be anything in the crate that could cause this type of irritation/wound. We walk him frequently outside (at LEAST 6 times a day) and sometimes tie him up outside while we're playing or working (he's never outside alone).
Do most dogs use their crates most of their life? Zoey loved hers, once potty trained she has run of house and uses it very seldom the last 4 mo. Has a lot of "spots" she likes to be now. Don't want to take it away from her, but could use the space ( small condo), would like to relocate maybe......location of crate is key, correct? . advice please.
Hi, I have a F1 Miniature Poodle and Bernese Mountain Dog Mix that I am picking up on Wednesday. The mother (Bernese) is 60 pounds and the father (mini poodle) is 15 pounds. Hi, i need some help with my dog. We are about to be evicted because she has gained weight and will not pass the laws in the building. We live in BC and will not surrender our dog but we are coming to the last 3 days of trying to solve this problem of her weight/height. A Our property manager has asked for a letter from a vet starting that our dog is not over 20' and not over 40 lbs'. Could anyone assist us? We are devastated. 1 bedroom in BC costs $2100 and are very hard to find.
