Is assembly required?
How will the wood do outside.?
- If under cover on a porch and regularly cared for with furniture oil, it should do okay. If open to the elements (sun / rain /snow) it will deteriorate like any other wood. That said, these are great when properly used. We have 4 of these wood units inside and two outside. But don't make the mistake we did and attempt to clean them with teak cleaner ... these ain't teak. So we now have 2 outside with a 'patina' finish ...

What size crate should I purchase for an adult German Shepherd I am planning to adopt?
We are desperate for help with crating Woody. From 4 am on he whines and cries. We give him a VetriScience Composure Behavioral Health snack before bed, and give him plenty of toys (right away and when he starts whining). We even got a larger crate for him (30 inches), and cover it so it's den like. Is there anything stronger that will keep him sleeping longer? What can we do to help him ease into crating? We are ready to give up on crating/put him in another room :(
Our little precious has been lately sleeping in our closet. She did it in the past but not so often and nowadays she found a way to get in it and sleep in it. Is it normal for her? Should I be worried? Also do you have any recommendations for crates (plastic or metal)?

Do most dogs use their crates most of their life? Zoey loved hers, once potty trained she has run of house and uses it very seldom the last 4 mo. Has a lot of "spots" she likes to be now. I just purchased a soft travel crate for Rogue as we are traveling to my new place of work in a few weeks. He does really well in his regular crate since he is crate trained. However, in the soft crate, he scratches it a lot for about 2 min and then settles in. How do I stop the initial scratching so he is comfortable and doesn’t tear it up?

Need help crate training. Will sleep fine at night, and in car. Will sometimes whines in the crate alone (say 2 out of 10 times ). We recently got an electronic doggie door. While we are training them we have it set to unlocked. Our 50-pound lab mix has pretty much figured it out. However we also have midna the Chiweenie she is scared of the door I think so because we had to buy it says for the bigger dog and every time she considers going through right after Sarah it smacks her in the face. It is light enough for her to push it open if she decides to they both had the same training when we first got it but she refuses
Hi, I live in a small apartment and I have a miniature poodle she's a pretty well trained dog, however she likes to lay in between entrances and exits and stretch out making us having to walk slower or go around her to get to where we are going like the hallway, the walk space between the living room and etc. PLEASE have any advice? My new puppy howls and barks like crazy when in her crate. She bites the door and tries to rip it open. She only does this when the door is closed. If it’s open she will go in by herself sometimes to eat or get a toy. How do I stop the barking and howling when she’s in there with the door shut?
My dog recently developed an aversion to his crate. He may have been forced in by a family member, but I'm not sure. I have been tossing a treat in the back of the crate and walking away and leaving it open all the time to encourage him to go back in. He's a 5-month old beagle mix. Thank you.
