My dog (55 lbs) likes to sit on top of her crate. I guess the views must be better up there… I’m wondering what load can this crate support if she’s sitting on top of it constantly?

I would also like to know, why would this not work as a training crate?
- Hello Shallay, Thank you for your question we do not recommend this product to be used as a training crate as puppies tend to chew and may damaged the wood components of this unit.

Does the top of the crate attach somehow, or does it just sit on top? If my dog bumps it with his head, is it going to pop right off, spilling my coffee, flower vase, etc.? How do I stabilize the top of the crate?
- The top piece is heavy enough that small or accidental bumps should not upset your coffee or flower vase. However, if your dog was extremely excited or majorly roughhousing with a toy in the crate, he could certainly jar the top to spill your coffee.

What size bed should I buy for the large crate, is the 40 in outside or inside of the crate measurement? Should I buy a bed for a 42 or 36 in crate?
