I bought this Merry Makings Moose Plush Tough Dog Toy, and I'm kinda disappointed. It definitely didn't live up to the "tough" claim; with my boyfriend's dog destroying the toy in less than a minute of playing with it. She destroyed the stitching fairly quickly; exposing the stuffing. I had to put the toy away out of fear of a choking hazard, and now I feel bad hearing her whimpering, and begging for the toy back. Kinda disappointed as it was a very cute plush, and I was looking forward to giving it to my boyfriend's dog for the holidays.

My dog has had several of these "durable" designed toys from Petco over the years. By and large they have been a phenomenal bang for the buck--most have proven nearly indestructible for my dog. This one, however, was a disappointment. The body of the moose itself is fantastic and on-par with the other durable toys from this brand. The festive red earmuffs, however, seem like they were an afterthought of the moose design. They are attached to the body with a single stitch using standard red thread meaning they are easily removed. If you have a small or aggressive chewing dog, this may pose a choking (and/or bowel obstruction) hazard. Please monitor your pup with use. My dog had the earmuff detached within the first minute and isn't known to quickly destroy her toys. I'm including a picture with this review for a visual.

I had such high hopes based on the description. This “tough and durable” toy lasted about 157 seconds with my very petite greyhound. Very disappointing.

Atlas was super excited to get his reindeer! It is durable and has been able to withstand the back and forth between a puppy and two adult dogs. The squeaky part has continued to work despite them all trying to make it stop haha! Definitely recommend!

I received this product from Petco in exchange for my honest review. This adorable moose toy will be a great stocking stuffer for my golden retriever! It is super durable so it will last a long time for a moderate chewer. Great gift idea for the holidays!

I received this very adorable reindeer as a holiday gift for my little dog. Although it is very cute I do wish it were smaller. My dog is only 15 pounds and does better with much smaller toys. It seems everything in the dog toy world is quite large these days. But nevertheless, I know he will enjoy it. Thank you, Petco.

The moose is pretty durable. My dog is a strong chewer and it's held up so far. She's broken the squeaker but it wasn't too loud to begin with. It's a fun festive toy for the season so if it last until the end of year, we'll be happy!

The toy is very sturdy and the stitching is well done. My dogs easily destroy toys and pull out the squeaker within minutes. This one has survived days and doesn't show signs of giving up. I would recommend this for any heavy chewers.
