We understand that every cat is different and that optimal feeding amounts may vary with age, activity level and environment. 3 oz. can: When fed alone to adults, feed 2 cans per 7.5 lbs. of body weight per day, for kittens up to twice this amount and for pregnant or lactating mothers up to three times this amount. For combination feeding, reduce 1/4 cup dry for every 1 can wet. 5.5 oz. can: When fed alone to adults, feed 1 can per 6.5 lbs. of body weight per day, for kittens up to twice this amount and for pregnant or lactating mothers up to three times this amount. Why doesn't it show the amount of protein in this food? I need to know this of every can I buy, but this brand Merrick Purrfect Bistro Beef Pate does not say what the Crude Protein is. Can you list it?
- Wish I had an answer for you. My cat used to LOVE this flavor, and then something happened they changed what they put in it, and he refused to eat it. I also found a blue piece of plastic in the cat food once. That was the last time I purchased it. Quality went down hill. My cat now will ONLY eat the Turkey flavor, out of all the varieties.

Can someone suggest me if Merrick whole Health brand is good for cats? Also my ragdoll kitten is 1yr 1month old now. Can I feed her cat food instead of kitten food? Since there is very limited choice of good brands in India , I could find Fancy feast Purina and Merrick only for wet food. And he prefers many flavors and wet food.
I brought my cat (4 YO black American short hair) to the vet a few months ago after she was scooting frequently and her glands were released. Our vet said she needed to be changed to a high fiber diet which we did immediately (Image attached below). This was in fact one of the ones the vet told us to buy. What should I look for when buying cat food? Blossom likes wet but she occasionally throws up ( especially if it's in gravy or sauce) and Kenwood likes dry but will also eat Blossom's food if available. Right now Blossom is eating Purina Pro Plan and Kenwood is eating Fancy Feast Filet Mignon and w/ seafood and shrimp. Both are inside cats with little to moderate activity . Blossom is 9 years old and Kenwood is 3 1/2. Kenwood is a big black cat and slightly overweight while Blossom is small.

I have an 8 month old 10 lb BIG maile kitten.He is very long and has bit paws. I assume he is still growing. How much should I be feeding him: 3 wet 3 oz cans and a little dry food - more or less? I can feel his spine but not his ribs. His wet food is 10% protein, usually chicken or chicken & liver. All is no grain. I keep reading different things.
