My chiweenie is currently in the hospital thanks to these treats. He ate one then threw it up and hasn't been able to keep food or water down since. Every time he would vomit, more pieces of this horrible treat came up. I took him to the emergency vet last night where they did X-rays and found pieces of this crap stuck in his digestive track - he's still there and on IV fluids. They will do more x-rays this afternoon and will perform surgery if it's not moving on its own . Shame on you Merrick.

I am glad that these are an alternative to rawhide. I stuff these into one of my dog's treat dispenser toys and he loves to pull it out and eat it for a good 5 minutes. It helps my dog not be so mouthy on our hands (he gets too hyper and forgets that he isn't supposed to nibble on hands) and it helps me get quick household chores done. My only concern with these is that the crude protein content is less than 10%, which makes me not so inclined to buy them again as there are other rawhide alternatives with much higher protein content.

This is a perfect healthy chew for small dogs. It takes about an hour for my small dog to finish 1 stick. She loves it! It stained her blanket a little bit but it washed off easily.

I was looking for a smaller chew for my Chihuahua because he need something that would give him a little chewing time. He really liked them, but my bigger dog caught on and wouldn't take her bones any longer. She would wait until I handed her one of these chews. Both my dogs really love these!
